I'm impressed at how much thick material this handles. I was calling it a beast, until I made some projects with chiffon. It handled the delicate fabric beautifully, & I love the results. I've tested several feet, with different settings, & haven't had a single issue, & it's been so much fun. I love this machine!
This is a great machine. And very affordable. I'm a beginner and my vintage han-me-down broke. So I did some researching and picked this one up on a black Friday sale. It is simple and has about any stitch you could ever want. The manual is very easy to read and descriptive. This machine is compact but also gets the job done.
I am posting this review as part of my entry in Walmart's holiday sewing contest. I got this machine on whim when my old one finally broke down. I am so glad that this machine was the one on sale. All the different stitches and feet that come with this machine make making nicely finishe garments a breeze. I especially love the overlock foot and stitches .Now I can hold off on buying a serger. Great machine and easy to use I would recommend it for even novice sewists.
This machine did a beautiful job with my free motion quilting project. Easy to use and came completely assembled. The computer part of it is very easy to use, just press the number for your stitch selection and start sewing!! The machine does the needle down position and has 100 preset stiches! What more can I say! I was able to bring it home, plug it in and start quilting right away. I realized after finishing my quilt, everything from fabric, batting, needles, basting spray and rotary cutters came from Walmart sewing center. Thank you!
I have always wanted a sewing machine, but I thought they would be difficult to use. Well, I have very tall windows that not even the 84" curtains can cover; so my boyfriend took it upon himself to buy fabric for the curtains, and material for a blanket for me to practice with and he even chose out this sewing machine! I was nervous at first, I thought it was going to be hard but that same night I made my first pillow and the next day a blanket. The computerized stitching is awesome! It was so easily to use and it worked easily on the thick blanket material. I had very little problems, once I got going everything was a breeze. I only got the blanket stuck in the machine once and it was so easy to fix the problem, it took simple common sense to take a couple parts out. I am officially addicted to sewing and I'm stuck on pinterest looking for curtain ideas and other projects. I can truly say as a first timer that this machine was easy to use and I'm overly excited about my purchase. The price was great too so we were able to purchase a lot of tools and material to start me off with. Needless to say both my sister's will be purchasing this same sewing machine so we can learn how to sow together :)
I decided I wanted to learn how to quilt about a year ago, so I bought this machine as I found it to be inexpensive yet fully-featured. I have found it to be VERY easy to learn and easy to use. I've made two quilts so far, and have my third underway now. I love that it came with so many accessory feet, and so many built-in stitches. I've also made a couple of pillowcases, so I got to try out the special stitches, love the look. Here's a picture of my first quilt.
I bought this sewing machine a few weeks ago when my singer simple gave out on me. I have really enjoyed making several projects with it. It is easy to use and threading is a breeze. I love that it has a drop down bobbin and you don't have to pull up the thread. The auto needle threader is great. Also, the fact that it stops with the needle down is a huge bonus. It has been such a pleasure to use and has given me confidence to try new things. Like this triangle square pillow and a cover for my new machine. I am writing this in response to the sewing contest, but I'm truly happy with the purchase of this sewing machine. I love it.
My sewing machine, 45 yrs. old, finally gave out. I wasn't doing much with it, mostly just mending, sewing on buttons, darning jeans, that sort of thing so I wasn't looking for something really fabulous, and to be honest I chose this machine because the price would fit into my budget. what a surprise, I had never used a machine that was computerized and this is fantastic, its so much fun to sew again, I have begun to make clothing for myself this time. the old machine was mostly purchase to make clothes for my son when he was little, but this is much different now, I recently lost my husband and was looking for something to fill the empty space in my life and this machine had done it. My cousin just gave me a Brother 1034d over locker for my birthday as she has seen such a change in my attitude since I got the machine and now I am really ready to go. you will love this machine if you get it.
I am posting this review as part of my entry in Walmart's Holiday Sewing Contest. I previously bought the project runway LS2250PRW back in 2011. It worked well for me but was very basic. I upgraded to this machine, the CE1100PRW and I am loving the features. What I love the most is that it makes button holes and gives you several button hole style options. This machine is user friendly and built in LED light is very helpful to me since I wear glasses. I created this off-the-shoulder dress for my 6 year-old daughter. I recommend this machine.
I am posting this review as part of my entry in Walmart's Sewing Contest. I purchased this machine for my wife. It is easy to operate and its ease of use make it a very good sewing machine for beginners. On the downside, it does not handle thick fabrics that well, as expected from a machine at that cost and size. Great value.
