I love the design of the newer Brother scan n cut SDX230DX. It is bigger than the CM Scan n Cut 1 and 2. It has a lot of designs. Some are the same as the original CM scan n cut machines and some are very new. I like the compartments that are on the machine for stashing your accessories. I like that you can add your new machine to an original account and have two scan n cut registered to the same account. I like the idea of the automatic blade. However, I think you might want to adjust it when you do the included project. The machine is very quiet. I like the area for adjusting the machine. Overall, it is a very nice scan n cut machine. This is my third machine. I have the first two that came out. In the back is a little area for your mat to rest on as it is going back and forth in the machine. You have to pull the ledge out to use it. I wish they added in more classic Disney designs like Pinocchio, Peter Pan and other Disney classics. The machine cuts nice and clean no ragged edges and nice smooth cuts. I love the drawing feature on this machine it draws very precise. I am very pleased with this machine so far. I did set it all up and did the update download for the machine and for Canvas workspace to get the pattern designs and the vinyl designs and the roller designs to work. It did take a little to do it but once it is done then you can just start right in on designing your own creations or use the ones that come with the machine. Wifi Connection is great. Editing can be done on the machine itself is a feature I like about it. Embossing features are worth playing with. Direct Scan a hand drawn object and immediately cut or emboss it that quick and easy. I enjoy the novelty of telling others, "I use my little Mickey Mouse tools to make these graphics." Simple, quick and is exact same size as you scan from the original drawing or sketch when size matters.
I like the Scan N Cut machine. The software integration from a computer to the machine is a little difficult to maneuver around in.
Nice machine. Awesome new features. Love it #3 for me.
