[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this machine.Its so quiet and easy to use.I have seen many items on this machine and love it.I could use to work on specific jobs like doing jeans hems and other havier fabrics and so far I am not disappointed.The very bright LED light brightens and lights up the work space.The bobbin cover is clear.The stitching control is easy to change from one to another without fuss.This is the first machine Brother has made with a metal inner frame.Its a fun to be able to easily decorate my daughter ‘s skirts!Anyone looking for a new sewing machine would be happy with this!

I have never used a sewing machine but I was amazed at how easy this one is to use. The included operation manual is extremely easy to follow and understand every step of the way. The manual is probably the best one I have ever received with any product. Since the sewing machine is computerized, it pretty much does everything for you. There is a flat bed attachment ib the front left side that flips open for storing presser feet and bobbins or it can be removed for sewing cylindrical things like sleeve cuffs or pant hems. There is also a stitch guide that snaps onto the handle which shows you the 50 stitches and which number each stitch is. I love the LED light so it is always nice and bright down at the needle area. The machine is much more quiet then I thought it would be. Love the back lit LCD display panel, it is easy to see and understand, you simply select one of 50 stitches and the panel tells you what foot presser foot to use and automatically sets the stitch width and length. The sewing machine has a handle on top so it is easy to pick it up and move it should you want to, it isn't very heavy. I was amazed at how quick and easy it was to shorten a pair of denim jeans and have it look like it was professionally done. I highly recommend the Brother ST150HDH sewing machine if you have never used a sewing machine before, it was very easy to learn just by following the manual.
This machine is a dream! I absolutely love it! No trouble sewing heavy materials at all! The many different stitches are so fun to use! This machine makes sewing so much fun!

After setting it up and threading it was ready to use. I ran a test and found all the stitching options by just twisting the knob and seeing on the screen your choice. I was surprised how effortlessly this machine runs. No jammed bobbins! It's exceptionally quiet! No issues sewing heavy materials as this is what it's made for. This machine is made very well and sturdy. It's not light and flimsy like some others. Has a handle to carry with ease from place to place and has a cover for when not in use. I highly recommend this machine whether you are a beginner or a pro. It truly worth the investment and it will not disappoint!!
I got this as a replacement for my last Brother Sewing machine, though it wasn't a heavy duty one. We've been using it for a month not and so far, no issues! I love everything about it, especially that it handles thicker seams much much better than my previous machine, though the only thing that could be different is the placement of the stitch dial on the side, it spins with ease to choose the stitch type, though that in itself is also a downside, because if you have a larger piece of material you're working with, it can potentially hit that dial and change your stitch type as you're sewing, so that's a bit annoying, though not a deal breaker, because I just placed some tape over it when I'm working with larger pieces of fabrics.

It is very easy to learn how to set up and use. I like how quiet it is when it is in use and how effortlessly it sews through fabric. I like how it is computerized and easy to navigate. The automatic threading is a very nice feature, I like being able to control the speed of sewing and stopping. I'm super excited about the endless creations I can make with this sewing machine! This is a awesome machine. Love the needle drop button. Had a Brother Project Runway and it broke. Well I wore it out. LOL My new machine runs smooth and looks real fancy I am super happy!
I am so sorry to say that the zigzag stitch produced “bridging” or “tunneling” (scrunched up the fabric in the middle of the stitching). I bought the machine because my trusty, more expensive Brother started doing the same thing after sewing through too many thicknesses of fabric. I had previously tried without success to have the problem fixed on my old machine, so ordered this new “ST” model. I tested the zigzag right out of the box without adjusting thread tensions or any other factory settings.
