The toner lasts for a very long time. As a student who is constantly printing out papers and other documents for class, the toner lasts a very long time. Even when it is running low, it still has a bunch left over. Fantastic product from Brother

This particular laser toner is required for my brother wireless printer. I checked several vendors and Wal-mart was the cheapest place to buy. I wish I had purchased the higher quantity for the savings.
The cost was right and the install was simple. Just remember this cartridge fits in a tray it's not a stand alone fit right in install. Since the is my first "Brother" laser printer perhaps they are all that way now. The HP and older IBM printers just install without fitting into a tray. But, it's easy and no smears be sure to roll back the green tab. (they do tell you that)
Price was less to buy online and then pick up at store than to just buy at store. Easy installation. Worked as expected.
The Brother HL-2240 printer that uses this cartridge cost me $49 after discounts and coupons and whatever. This toner at other places is also $49. This is NOT a good deal. At Walmart, it was $30, so the printer lives on. Otherwise, I'd likely be looking for a new printer that uses larger cartridges that actually last as long as the box says. So far, the cost per page is far higher than expected...
The cartridge itself is great, easy to install and good ink quality. The in-store price was $10 more than the online price and they don't match their own prices, even though you can buy online and pickup in the store. Silly policy. I purchased it online on my phone and waited 45 minutes for it to be "available" for pickup.
i HAVE to get this because that is what my printer/copier uses but it starts telling you its empty way before it actually is. will last 4 months longer after its starts telling you to replace.
Unfortunately you have no choice if you ave a brother printer....you need this cartridge. I don't think it was was even close to printing the amount of pages it rates it at. I only print invoices, no graphics. It's my 2nd one this year. The online price is great from Walmart but like most printers, the companies make their money on ink!
I bought this from Walmart and installed it in my printer. It was easy to install but I had this installed about a week and a half and my toner low light started blinking. I could not believe it as I really have not printed anything out that much so I ignored it. Well, three weeks later, you guessed it, I ran out of toner. I got a lot more use out of the toner cartridge that was in there when I bought it than I did with this new one. What going on Walmart, are you recycling toner cartridges thinking there is still plenty of toner in the returns? For the price I paid, there should have been a lot more toner in the cartridge than there was. If it had nothing to do with Walmart, then I apologize to Walmart and direct my disgust to Brothers printer products.
