I just wanted something easy to use that would keep dust and dew off a scooter that would be parked under a canopy (i.e. carport). I didn't need a bullet-proof cover that would have to stand alone as the scooter's only protection, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This "Budge Sportsman Waterproof Motorcycle Cover" fit the bill perfectly. I had previously paid about $60 for a cover at a bike shop that didn't seem to be much better than this one at half the price. I just got it so I can't comment on its longevity, but it seems study enough. It does however seem like it's made of some sort of relatively tough plastic made to simulate the look of woven nylon fabric, so I have no idea how it would hold up to ultraviolet if it was on a bike that's always parked in the sun. I suspect not that well, so I'd probably spend the extra $ if that's going to be the case. It will probably shed water pretty well, but it looks like it's not particularly "breathable". It does have two skirted vents about seat level, but even so, if you plan on using it to store a bike that's going to just sit long term, I'd cover the bike with an old cotton sheet under this cover to absorb condensation. Providing you're already accustomed to the confusing fit of bike covers ("which way's the front?"), you'll find this cover a snap to use. The elastic bottom makes it quick. This particular cover seems to be made for a bike without much of a windscreen. It would probably work on a bike with a tiny windscreen, like you see on some crotch rockets. I bought it for a scooter that doesn't have a windscreen, so the fit was perfect.

This cover fits my Sportster hugger nicely. In fact, got this one for my Sporster, and the Extra Large cover for my Street Glide.

This cover fits my bike (almost) like a glove. The Bike Dealership wanted $90 for a name-brand cover, and though it was probably of a little higher quality, I can buy 3 of these Budge covers for the same price. The Texas sun is going to destroy ANY brand of cover in a year or 2 anyhow. P.S. - DON'T buy the Budge "TRAILERABLE" Motorcycle cover (Walmart #: 550990290) for outside STORAGE use, it does not fit the motorcycle unless the front wheel/handlebars are straight forward. I had to return mine and get this standard cover instead.

Terrible product. The company offers a 2 year warranty that they do not honor. Ripped like tissue paper after 1 year.

Bought this for my 1800VTX. Had bought the cheaper model 2 years ago for my Intruder 1400. That one lasted 2 years so I thought this one would be better. Wrong! Ripped the second time I used it.

Not even close to waterproof

I just purchased this cover yesterday, put it on last night. I woke up this morning and it's still on which is good but I might as well left my bike out in the rain. The bike is totally soaked. I opted for this cover because it was a little more money then the others. Totally disappointed don't advertise something as being waterproof when it isn't even close. Should've just bought a tarp and some bungee cords from Home Depot. HUGE DISAPOINTMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*NOT* Waterproof

I usually don't write bad reviews, but maybe I can save someone else a disappointing experience. This motorcycle cover looks great. The price is right. It is advertised on this website, and on the box, as being waterproof, but it is not. It's not even water resistant. I guess it's possible I got a defective cover that didn't have the "waterproof coating" applied, as I can't imagine anyone advertising this thing as waterproof. I've had it for about 3 days. Last night we had a thunderstorm and when I pulled the cover off the bike to go to work this morning the bike was completely soaked over its entire length and width, so the cover didn't just have a leaky seam or anything like that. I have textile saddlebags with full zippers and so much water came through the cover they had puddles inside of them. Also, this cover is advertised for up to 1100CC full dress. I have a Honda 750 Magna with a light bar and saddle bags, but no windscreen. The cover JUST fit (in fact I was very happy with the fit as it was nice and snug right down to the ground-almost like it was a custom cover). The Magna is a large 750, but not as big as a typical 1100. You'd probably tear the cover trying to get it on and off of a bigger bike. It would make a nice dust cover for a mid-sized bike stored indoors, but is useless to protect against weather. I'm taking it back for a refund.
