Seems to be sturdy enough to last a while, covers French door opening better.
This is a great screen for my french doors, I have cats and dogs that go thru all the time. Keeps little pests out
This screen was very easy to install (if you call it that.) We bought it for our French doors so our cats could have access to our deck and have a screen for fresh air. It is holding up very well with cats and us going in and out. It was a simple fast solution for what we needed.
I really am pleased with this item. It allows me to leave my french doors open and keeps bugs out and my kitties in. Wasn't sure if it would work to keep the cats from escaping, but it seems to work just fine. I think they are afraid of it.
Would work well for hanging in your double doorway on your home but we had to make some hanging adjustments for hanging in a doorway of our solarium. Is working well though keeping bugs out especially when watching tv in there.
If they would make this size with a side opening I would give it 10 stars, but it is a pain to have to open the sliding glass door all the way to go in and out, and so far (5 days) the dog has not figured it out. I measured correctly at 46 1/2 in., ordered the 48 in. as instructed on their web site, and it bows out at the bottom. I would buy it again as it is nice to have the air flow when it cools down in the evening. I didn't want to pay the extra $ for a custom fit so am living with the consequences.
I think this product was worth the money. The only thing that I would say is that you have to nail the sticky sides to the door frame. If your house has old or you have lose paint then the sticky pad doesnt keep the screen to the house. But that isn't a big deal to reinforce it.
The screen went up super easy, and only took about 5 minutes to unscrew the tension rod, push that through the screen and get it hung in the frame. The Velcro side strips seem to have a good adhesive, and are holding up so far(but it's only been 2 days). Like so many other reviews have stated, the biggest problem with the screen is that there is only a bottom and lower/mid magnet. There needs to be at least another magnet at eye level and to be completely honest there needs to be a few more, because even the slightest breeze will open the flap where they overlay each other, and it creates a gap for bugs to cruise on in. And because mosquitos are already banging on the screen trying to get it, the wind and this gap just pushed them in. I will be ordering a few magnets from KJ Magnetics so that I can keep this thing closed when no one is planning to go through it. Great concept, and much better product that the other bug screens I've seen online, must still needs to be improved.
Was pretty easy to set up and seemed to be working well but the seam on the middle flap ripped so the edging came apart.
There are 2 problems with this product. 1) It is not as pictured. This particular product does not have the side split opening only a central opening. 2) There is only 1 magnet in the center to keep it closed so there are a lot of gaps at the split, therefore to let everything in that you are attempting to keep out. I am returning this item.
