The FM200 is a great and affordable gate opener. The instructions are a little hard to navigate but if you watch the online installation videos on youtube they help a lot. It was easy enough to install on my own and did not take me too long.
I bought this to replace one of my 350 openers and it is working fine. Much cheaper than the 350 and much easier to setup. I vhad a 14foot field gate and it is working fine.
The gate opener works perfectly and I have no complaints. It really wasn't hard to install and I must say that everything Mighty Mule advertises is true, there are no false advertisements.
I am lucky enough to have my vacation home in the Sunshine state so being able to use the Solar powered gate opener is pretty clutch. The price cannot be beat. I spent months researching gate openers and asking friends for their suggestions. Finally my neighbor told me about her gate opener(FM200) so I got it and I have been happy with the performance! When I'm at my vacation home I AM ON VACATION! The added convenience of not getting out of the car to open the gate and the peace of mind from the safety of this product make my vacation home the ultimate getaway!
alright guys so I ended up buying the cheapest model available and afer reading reviews I was a little worried that I was wasting my money and almost considered changing my order to get a higher end model. I ended up deciding to try this one out and see how it went! Sometimes simpler is better. Like I always say less gizmos and gadgets just means less things for my kids to break and me to have to fix haha! But it really is a simple gate opener that serves its purpose. Easy to install and easy to use not to mention affordable!
I was very pleased with the quality of the product and the flexibility of the hardware. the installation instructions were clear. I was a little concerned as I was mounting the fixed arm on a 2-1/2 inch chain link fence post, but it works fine because my gate is small. My only puzzlement is that there is no hole or notch in the control box for the wires to/from the battery/charger, and if you wanted the gate lock, there would be no place for those wires also. My dremel tool fixed that in short order. I was also puzzled at first about the transformer cube, thought it was a battery charger, but that was my mistake which I realized after reading the output info. the output being 18 volts AC. so, the converter to DC must be in the control box!!!
The gate opener is now installed and works wonderfully. I do appreciate your wonderful customer service...thank you for restoring my faith in "good will towards men" during this hectic season!
the FM200 is less than 250 doll(hairs) so I am not really sure why there are some reviews so angry with the products performance. You get what you pay for and if this isn't serving its purpose maybe you should look at the pricier mighty mule models. Anyways, for me it was worked fine. Nothing exceptional but it's a gate opener and it opens my gate. End of story.
Happy with purchase it is just a little slow
The installation instructions were lacking in the installation of the transformer. The transformer never worked and when I hooked it up to a 12 volt battery the gate opener never worked. Real Disappointment. In the process of sending it back now.
