I bought them for under the crib and for under our bed. The wheels are a little pointless, but i can still slide them easily enough. I like the canvas lining. I did replace the wiker "hinges" with some hemp cord easily by tying it on. They assembled the hinges too tight -would break if left on. I guess i liked the size, lid and lining best. I looked all over and this was the best (and cheapest) i found.
I got this product with my second child who is now 2 years old. Still in the same shape as the day I got it. The liner washed up fine, the wheels are a little pointless. I use it to store blankets, so I don't pull it out daily.
I initially purchased this item to display favors at my daughter's baby shower. The lid wouldn't stay open so that was one strike against the basket. Also, there were chips in the wicker on the lid and the basket was not stained to the cherry finish I expected.
I has this item shipped "site to store" to save on shipping. The box that it was shipped in was falling apart, and the baskets cherry finish was rubbed/scratched off in certain places. The latches that the lid is attached with are straw, and I don't see them lasting more than a month. The wheels on the side are pointless because they are placed too high up on the basket and they don't roll. I have a standard crib and I could fit 2 of these baskets underneath (side by side), but I won't be purchasing an additional one. Also- the web picture shows the basket much darker than it really is, it is more of a light cherry, not dark cherry as I had hoped. It is a nifty idea, but it definitely needs improvement. Also, if you are putting this in a nursery that your baby already occupies, I would lay the basket in the garage for about a week; the fumes from the stain/varnish that they use on it is very strong. I just overall would not recommend the product.
This basket looked good on the website, but turned out to be a flimsy, ugly, worthless piece of garbage. I couldn't get it back to the store quick enough. DO NOT PURCHASE.
