I had read other reviews and learned that it might be too tall for under my crib. I measured and remeasured and thought that it would be ok, but it's a bit tight. I think the carpet is the problem. Luckily, the side of the crib can be lifted a quarter inch to let the baskets out. I actually fit 2 side by side. It is a tight fit, but I love the amount of storage. I actually have all the mattress protectors and crib sheets in one basket and 4 large (fluffy crib sized and larger) blankets in the other.
I have a 2-1/2 year old son that I debated on getting this product for. I never did. I am now pregnant and expecting my second child any day now. I decided to purchase this product to hold baby blankets and/or sheets for the bedding. It has worked out well for all her blankets. I love blankets and tend to have an overabundance of them. This piece holds them all, as long as I don't get anymore. It does hold quite a bit but I would not have minded if it was a bit longer in length for more space. The lid is a noisy when you open it but that may wear off in time. I believe it would probably wake up a sleeping baby if I tried to get a new blanket out but it does serve its purpose well. These are not major complaints and would not have kept me from buying it if I would have known in advance. I also love the new Site to Store shipping.
It is a really nice size storage basket. I got it thinking it would fit under the crib, however, it is a tad to big. I can't put the pull-up bar down because the basket is blocking it. You could buy those bed stilts I guess. I do like it though because of the size of it. I just need to figure out where I will store it.
I love the idea of this product, but the quality is terrible! The lid does not fit down onto the basket unless I push it over, then it is crooked. I was so excited to have storage under the crib...I just wish it was made better! It does have a lot of storage space...I put 10 receiving blankets and diapers into it, and it is only 1/2 full. I am considering cutting off the lid and leaving it open under the crib.
I first found this item on another website for $60 and it was out of stock, thank goodness! I researched the item and found it at wal-mart for almost 40% less! I was very pleased with Wal-mart's price and service, however, I never left the store with the 2 baskets I ordered. I checked the items and found they were poorly constructed , smelled, and the bottoms were warped and cracked. The color was not at all as pictured, I will never recomend Burlington Baskets to anyone.
