I got these to keep in my car just to be prepared. It's winter now and my car is finally getting old and I don't want to be caught somewhere with something going wrong with my car so I'm trying to pack it with extras of anything I might need like fluids and food and fuses. These seem like a great assortment, though I have yet to use them. I chose these because it had the widest assortment with seven each of 5. 10. 15. 20. 25. and 30 amp fuses. It also comes with the fuse puller and, something I have never gotten before, a fuse tester. I remember trying to guess before if a fuse was bad or not before trying to find one I could hijack from a non-essential accessory. I'm hoping that with this large variety pack that those days are gone. I know that Bussmann is a good brand of fuse and I would definitely recommend this assorted pack of fuses to anyone.
This Bussmann Fuse Kit made by EATON is just what I needed for my truck to keep in the tool box for emergencies and to be able to more effectively pull fuses and test them with the included tester and puller. Fuses don't go out often in my truck, but it is going 14 years old now and have had a few need replacing and as it gets older expect more to fail where this kit will come in handy. You get 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 AMP fuses. There are 7 of each Amperage. The tester has a green indicator light on it as well. Very happy with this kit and definitely recommend.
As a female I can't say anything else about this product than it looks neat :). But I gave it to my boyfriend (a car mechanic) and he really likes the assortment. The package comes with all types of fuses we need for our car and with a pretty handy tweezers/tester. I took the time and tested all of the fuses in the box :) and they were all good. I don't remember ever needing to replace a fuse in my car (although, it's possible that my boyfriend has done it couple of times without mentioning anything), BUT it's wonderful to keep this in a trunk just in case. :)
I needed a yellow, 25 amp plug-in type fuse %26 I thought “Wait a minute! I've got one!” But after locating it, in with all my other assorted fuses, including the cylinder shaped tube-type fuses, it was too big! So I found these with ease at Walmart %26 added them to my collection. I am proud to say “ I now own at least one of every size and type of fuse made!” Every morning I wake up thinking “Go Ahead, Blow My Fuse!”
Bought this just for emergency use. As my vehicle is almost at its 20 year mark. I wanted to make sure that I had this on hand if I blow a fuse when installing my sound system or a short happens. Great little convenient box fits perfect in the glove box.
These were perfect and they arrived just in time for what I needed them for. I also really appreciate the fact they come in a hard plastic case with dividers so nothing gets lost or mixed up. Very happy with this product and will definitely purchase again multiple times I'm sure.
I got this product in a neat package. It came without damages. It has the fuses of different colors. It was not compatible with my car to test it immediately so I tested it on my friend's and it works fine.
This fuse set comes in a variety of fuse sizes. It comes with 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 amp fuses. It has seven of each size fuse. This set also includes a fuse tester/ puller. My husband is a mechanic, so he needs to use fuses a lot. He said that these fuses work as expected. The fuse tester works well for the most part. My husband has had issues when the fuse is in a tight spot in the fuse panel. The prongs need to be longer for the tester to work well in tight spots. My husband normally just removes the fuse from the fuse panel if it is in a tight spot since it is easier that way. The fuse tester is LED. It illuminates bright green when the fuse is good. If the fuse is blown it will not light up at all. The puller feature is very handy. It works on most fuse types, but not all of them. My husband also noticed if the fuse has other fuses around it, then it will be more difficult to pull a fuse. The container the fuses are in was hard to open. It is just flimsy plastic. The lid will not close properly. It would have been nice if the container was more durable and had a lid that closed.
This is a good set but could be improved. The container they come in is not resealable and is easily torn when opening. Keeping these together and organized would be much easier with better packaging. The product itself comes organized and color coordinated. The fuse tester works well and is very useful as well as the puller. Overall it's a good set. I did recieve this item in exchange for my honest opinion and I do recommend it.
Once I was able to get the container open, it was destroyed and the fuses had spilled everywhere. Forget about having an organizer for the the fuses and tester. The "tester" is supposed to be adjustable to fit different types of fuses. The one that came with this assortment broke the first time I tried to slide the probes. When the slide broke, the tester slipped and the two probes stuck into my hand. Beware! The only reason I gave this product a 1- star rating is because of the number of fuses. I haven't needed to replace a fuse since I received this product so I am assuming that the 42 fuses will work in my application.
