Hard to find item. Could not find it in any box stores. Had to order direct from company.
I bought this order for my christmas sponsor family who couldnt afford gifts for christmas as they needed to save for there youngest childs heart surgery.
I had one as a child and bought my kids one as babies and am continuing the tradition by giving my nephew his fist !
My daughter loves this. I like the songs and that they play for a good 10mins (or you can squeeze it again to shut it off). It has 3 settings - one is to just have the face glow, two is to glow and play a short lullaby for about 5 seconds at a loud volume, three is to glow and continuous play of all 5 lullabys (the rotation repeats about 3 times) at a medium volume for 10 minutes. The majority of the time my daughter uses this in the crib at night to self sooth but there a few issues I have with this. One problem is the glow is very very bright and almost blinding when using in the dark. To fix, I taped a white cloth over the bulb on the inside. Second problem is there should be a volume control. The low setting is still very loud. So I covered the speaker on the inside with cotton balls and sealed with tape. Helped some but still too loud for my liking. We could do with about a 3rd of the volume. Third problem is, because it is using so much power to run the light and the music at high volume, the batteries really don't last very long. It takes three AAs that I change every 1-2 months. But overall I still like the product and will continue using it.
We have an older version of the pink glow worm. My granddaughter loves it and my grandson loves his blue glow worm. The music in the older pink glow worm has a more pleasant sound than the newer “electronic” sound of the blue glow worm. That's why I only gave the blue one 4 stars. I would give the pink one 5 stars. But both kids really love the toy, the sound of the blue one doesn't bother my grandson, just the adults in the family.
