Compass comes with 3 leads only, sadly replacements are only sold in bulk. It would be far easier if 10 packs were sold on the site. The compass is rugged and well constructed, The main thing I was looking for was a compass with a wheel in the center that doesn't flex or wiggle when you adjust the measurement. This once set stays in place and doesn't jiggle around. The leads are reasonably soft, they mark well and if sharpened on the inside edge only with a small sandpaper will create a really fine line. Easily erased and using light pressure the line can be made fairly lightly. I bought the compass for use in chip carving design and for some art uses, drafting and whatever drawing I needed to do. So far after a week of use I have found the compass is made pretty well and is indispensable when I need to do a drawing.
