I've tried 3 microphones before this and each one was not satisfactory. This mic has good tone and what I like about it is it had no static when recording. Other mics around $100 had static and sound quality that was no better than the cheapest mic you can buy.
First of all it did not work, at full volume my voice could barely be heard. Although it is more than likely that this particular one was simply defective, there were other issues that made me concerned. There was a craftsmanship problems and also the noise level alone would make it unusable for my home recording studio even for demo purposes.
