Very quite, looks sharp, does a very good job. The whole collection is top of the line.
Quiet when operating, does a great job cleaning and good job drying dishes. The top (3rd) drawer use is extremely limited, except for knives and some small utensils. The clearance to the top and with items in the second drawer is very small. Also the main (bottom) drawer does not move smoothly and hangs up when operating. Wheels should be improved.
I own GE Cafe gas range and like it. Not the same with this dishwasher! Positives are it cleans well and very quiet. However, if you entertain and have standard 9"+ wine glasses and large 10" plates, they will NOT fit! Even daily use for that matter! The glasses hit the 3rd top silverware rack if the 2nd middle rack is in the highest setting. And if you move the 2nd rack to lowest setting, the bottom rack cannot handle 10" plates. You end up taking out 3rd rack which loses a feature you paid for. And worst of all, the wine glass holders are by far, the cheapest, most poorly designed holders of any manufacturer I compared to. To be blunt, the designer of them needs fired! The glasses will not hold in place and cannot be placed in vertical position. I am EXTREMELY upset and disappointed in the dishwasher's ability to perform as advertised. Especially for the price I paid for it. This was not a low priced unit. Very unhappy and will not buy an appliance from GE in the future. Cannot recommend it, if you use wine glasses, larger plates or do any sort of entertaining.
We have always purchased GE appliances and never will again. The Cafe dishwasher has a defective seal which allows condensation to be deposited on surrounding cabinets and countertop. This happens during the dry cycle and will eventually ruin cabinets. When we contacted GE they replaced the dishwasher and the second dishwasher has the same issue. When we contacted GE to tell them the second dishwasher also deposited water on the surrounding cabinets, GE told us this was normal and they were closing our case.
Has leaked 4 times on our hard wood floor!!! Purchased this unit last May. It started leaking a month after we got it. Had a service call in June, one in August and they finally they replaced everything in the unit in November. Made it till end of June… just out of warranty now. Now I have to pay to have it fixed.
I bought this model a few months ago. On the positive side it is quiet and washes well. But it has a huge flaw. During the drying cycle excessive condensation escapes from the top and side depositing water on my wood cabinets. This will eventually destroy them.
