I recently bought this cast Iron grill skillet. I had washed the pot and did not dry it and rust build up soon started minutes later. I had to YouTube on how to maintain the skillet and learned about seasoning your pots. Good stuff hope it last a long time to come.
I've been wanting a cast iron skillet for some time. I really wanted my parents but they are not giving it up nor are they near their last years (Thank God!!!). So I happened to see this one and thought I'd try it out. I have used it twice in the 4 days I've had it and its perfect! Its good and heavy.
I have large cast iron, as well as, Scan pans for cooking when there are more than two people or I need a larger pan for a recipe.I bought this because of its size in cast iron. Perfect size for cooking for two. I cured this according to the instructions and on its debut I cooked hamburgers (4) and it was great. Of course the even heating that you get with cast iron and nice grill marks on the burgers made juicy perfectly done burgers. I had no problem with food sticking to the pan.
Even heating the right size for my needs. Been looking for one this size
Good price (was on sale); high quality. Used once: toast. Worked well. But, very heavy and tough to lift especially when hot (But that is typical od cast iron)
Very heavy, handle gets too hot to handle, food stuck to “preseasoned” surface, did not brown the food, and did not leave grill marks.
