Easy to use & adjust on your car mirror. Very helpful. And can be taken off easily when not in use.
I have to be honest, I didn't think the mirror would hold going down the road while towing my 35ft. fifth wheel. But I cleaned the mirror according to the directions and it held my entire 200 mile trip at speeds of about 70-75mph. Great idea and great product! And I really like that I can adjust the mirrors from inside my truck with my power mirrors. Nice!
Very easy to attach...stays solidly in place...not a lot of wiggle...good price!
I must admit I had my doubts before actually purchasing and trying this suction cup style tow mirror, however, after using it a few times I am actually quite impressed! It's extremely easy to mount, but....you must follow the directions! Use alcohol or a windex type product and wipe down the suction cup and mirror before mounting....has not fallen once and I have left it on for a few day's! What's great about it is that it's mounted to your mirror, so as you adjust your mirror, the tow mirrow adjusts as well! Very nice! One thing I will say for those of you who have an older vehicle which potentially might have a weaker mirror stabalizer is the wind resistance might actually move your mirror if driving fast enough which will obviously affect your view! Other than that potential issue, very good product and for $20 why not try it!
I'm sure there are better mirrors on the market, but they get the job done. It would be nice if they extended farther out, but they are ok. They do cover more of your vehichle mirror than is desirable, but we only need them a couple of times a year, on the road, with our travel trailer. I've looked at others and these seemed to be the most logical for our situation. If you follow the directions and get them on snug, they will stay.
The mirror seems to mount to my driver's side mirror solidly, but after driving for a while the mirror gradually rotates on the mount's axis. It slowly drops lower and lower until it is well below the vehicle mirror it's mounted to, and is useless at that point. I had high hopes for this product, and really like the idea of a trailer mirror that adjusts with my vehicle mirror, but it's simply not robust enough to stay in place.
These have a poorly designed locking mechanism. The threaded tightening mechanism strips very easily. As you tighten down the knob, if you hear a "click", you have just over tightened and damaged the threads. Do this about a dozen times and the threads strip so badly the mirrors easily fall off and sill not stay attached. If this happens to you, wrapping the damaged threads with teflon pipe seal tape MIGHT work. This at least got me home. Then I returned these to the store. Even when attached tightly, I found the mirrors too small to be effective. They also vibrate quite a bit making for a blurred image on the road.
These mirrors are ok if you need them just to get you home after buying a new camper! We have since returned ours that we purchased because we had to stop every 30 minutes to move the thing back into position. In other words they just don't work! Handy design but the mirror won't stay in position while you are driving!
I put one of these on my driver side mirror Made sure it was on right and tight. I drove the car 55 miles--i noticed it getting loose and put my hand out to hold it I pulled over beside the road, as it came off. i do not advise anyone purchasing one of these. I returned both of them
Ordered these when we purchased an RV. Said they were for a Ford F-150 but when they came in they wouldn't fit. Since then we have found that they don't make a slip-over towing mirror for this vehicle at all.
