I needed a bag that could hold all my gear for Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai. The BFM is perfect. I can pack my 18oz gloves, shin guards, Gi, change of clothes, towel, wrist wraps, tape, etc. It holds it all. The extra compartments are perfect for keeping all items organized, something I couldn't do with a big duffle bag. Would also be awesome for tournaments. Definitely worth the purchase.
I got this pack and immediately wanted to go on a long walk with it. I found a place about 3 miles away, filled up my pack with everything that I wouldn't even need (needed weight) and went. Apparently google maps misquoted the distance and the place was 10 miles away, but even after ten miles this pack felt perfect!!
Let me start by saying I have a 5.11 72 hour Rush bag already. This Camelback is replacing it. The main reason is this bag holds more, better. The strap retention system is top notch. It comes with a water batter. It is both comfortable and durable. The only thing that might be a drawback is this material is thinner than the 5.11 bag. Does that mean it will wear out faster, or does it just save weight? Only time will tell. I am going to bet on camelbaks long standing record of being a quality product. So far I'm very impressed and pleased with my purchase. I took advantage of the Facebook deal on this bag for 70 bucks shipped to my door. No regrets.
This backpack is exactly the backpack i was lookong for. I was able to consolidate and fit everything I carried in my gym duffle and old backpack into this thing. There is plenty of room to fit my jacket, gym clothes and work uniform and still have plenty of space for my shaker bottle, folders and notebooks, and more! I couldn't be happier with this purchase! And it was on sale for half off!! What a deal!!
I have an older version of this bag that I now use as a bug out bag, and I have loves it since day one! that bag served as my edc for a few years and was filled up with whatever gear I needed, tossed around in ambulances, taken to the range, carried on hikes, used as a diaper bag, and served as my main luggage for almost everywhere I traveled. To say it was abused is an understatement, yet it's still in great shape. Then I saw the Facebook advertisement for this one on closeout and couldn't pass it up. This version is thinner, lighter, and has fewer pockets, but I am still impressed nonetheless. At under $80 you can't find a better bag. This new version has replaced the old as my edc, it carries everything I need and more, and I am excited to show it some abuse. Stop thinking about it, and just buy it.
Does everything - on the range or on a hiking trail !
I'm a manager for a Major Aerospace Manufacturing Company and I have to carry lots of paperwork, laptop, among other things. I have plenty of room for everything. Also on my days off whether I'm going to the range or hiking it meets all my needs and I can honestly say it's an amazing product that won't disappoint you. It's worth every penny.
Expecting our 1st child... baby boy in JULY. Preparation has always been a priority in our family. This bag should deliver the necessities to surviving a day on Land or Sea.
Having owned multiple camelbak products this does not stack to the quality of the older products. It makes a good light weight travel bag but I reverted back to the older model made with the 1000d fabric. It's much sturdier and has better support throughout. The newer 500d material just wont cut it with heavy use or carrying heavy loads. The shoulder straps are much thinner and less padded. I am in Law Enforcement and recently used both bags as bug out/ equipment bags during the fires in Paradise CA. When you rely on your equipment in a potential life and death scenario I'm willing to sacrafice a few ounces of weight for rugged durability. Wish the new product lines were as tough and heavy duty as the older models.
I bought one in 2007 or 2008 , it was great..used it for everthing, every mission...great material, great zippers, great craftsmanship This one is a cheaper ripstop material. Show wear spots already. Moller attachment are just slots cut into the material. Very disappointed in this one...loved the first one I bought..bragged on it to everyone... can't do that for this one. Randy M
