I bought for the baby room and it worked great. It tells you the temperature in the room and plays lullabies. We use it now for the toy room to watch the kids while we're upstairs. Battery life is good but I typically leave the monitor plugged in
When choosing a baby monitor, I consider reliability first, I've been using this one 24/7 for over a week now and it never fails. I chose this one because it doesn't need Wifi at all. If you are using a baby monitor that requires Wifi and internet connection and an app on your phone, a network issue may cause disconnection or delay, or if you're just happen to be using your phone on other things, then you may not know it timely when your baby wakes up. Another benefit of no internet required is that privacy is guaranteed because only your monitor can connect to your camera and the communication is encrypted. Another reason I chose it is because of the 4.3" large screen, you can see the details clearly, under dim light, infrared night vision is automatically turned on, that means even in completely dark you can still see it very clearly. The camera is not wide-angled, so you don't have to mount it near baby but still get a zoom-in effect. Connection distance is pretty amazing, I never encounter any issues even when the camera on 2nd floor and monitor in basement, I never have the need to raise the antenna on the monitor at all. Battery life is satisfying, too. With screen on all the time, it can last about 6 hours, if put it under VOX mode, then it will last about 10 hours. Charging is fast, while using at the same time, it can be charged from empty to full power in about 4 hours. When battery power is low, there will be sound warning and LED indicator. VOX mode is very useful, the screen is off on this mode to save battery, the mic can pick up very slight sound and wake up the screen, there's a color LED bar indicator as well. 2-way talk and lullaby function is useful, too. It allows you to calm down your baby while you can't get there right away.
