I got this for Christmas of '07 from my aunt who said "Jen, I saw this and immediately thought of you, so I HAD to get it for you." I love it and I put it on my bed at my window and let it run for a while before I get to sleep. It's so fun to play with and my 17 month old nephew loves to watch it aswell, so it's great for anyone of any age.
The Stringin' It Light puts on a light show that has been helpful in keeping our 2 mo. old granddaughter happy.
I had an adult friend getting divorced who got one of these as a house warming gift, he is 49 and LOVED it -- I played with it for an hour and then got one for my nephew 12 and son 23 who both love it. It seems fairly durable, I could touch the string as it went around and make it change shape, very cool at night - during the day you don't get much out of it...
THIS WAS THE BEST LIGHT I EVER GOT! YOU JUST CAN'T STOP LOOKING AT IT.WHEN I SHOWED MY NEIGHBOR THIS THEY BOUGHT ONE RIGHT AFTER!
This is so awesome. I had bought one for my 15yr.old daughter and had to go back to get one for myself that same day. It has so many differant patterns you can make it do and it doesn't get boring. My 2 cats couldn't take their eyes off it for hours! I expected it would make alot of noise being its a motor, boy was I wrong, its silent. This is an excellent invention.
My 9 yr old LOVES THIS, as does my 2 1/2 yr old. It's really cool and mesmerizing to play with. Really EASY (my toddler plays with it also). It doesn't seem to be a safety issue for my young toddler, but obviously, adult supervision is a must or the toddler will destroy the unit. A very COOL gift for 7yrs and up. At $20, it's a bargain!
Searched my local Wal-mart stores for this device in the toys section, but was redirected to novelty lighting, next to the lava lamps. Everyone in my family absolutely loves it, albeit a bit pricey for what it is. It uses up batteries pretty quickly, so a wall adapter is essential. Finding it was a problem for me. I only wanted to spend no more than $5, so I got one from a popular auction site, and it had the wrong sized plug. After drilling out the center hole a little, I got it to work though.
I've seen this product a couple of times and was very impressed by the endless patterns and light combinations. After a quick internet search I found it here, and now I'm spending way to much time with it!
