This is definitely a great beginner camera for a great price. I originally bought this camera so I could take action shots of my kids' sports and it does not disappoint. The lens that comes with this camera is good for close up shoots but if your looking to take photos from a distance, you might want to invest in a telephoto zoom lens, which is what I'm going to do. The great thing about this camera is that I can buy ef lenses and attach it to the camera using a mounting adapter. I like that it's touch screen and has WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities. You can easily transfer photos from your camera to your phone using the canon camera connect app which is great. The only thing that didn't make sense to me was that it came with a battery and a charger but not the charging cord, so I had to go to Walmart and buy a non polarized charging cord. Other than that, I am extremely happy with this purchase!
Recently purchased it and have been snapping away! I've had some practice in the past before with the exact camera but in white for work, now, I have one to call my own. I have experience with other well-known brands, but I always find my way back to Canon products. This M50 Mark II is very lightweight and easy to use. The WiFi accessibility for transferring images is by far one of my favorite features. Good well-rounded camera with a quick shutter speed.
I needed a camera that was lightweight and relatively inexpensive: the Canon M50 is both. All Canon cameras are easy to use and this one is no exception. When it comes to a beginner camera, the M50 checks all boxes but one. The lens variety is quite limited because they're mirrorless and small. A quick fix to this issue is to purchase an adaptor, which are priced fairly, so that you can use other normal Canon lenses. The Canon M50 is, no doubt, a great beginner camera. One bad thing is that the limits of this camera are reached far too soon. Not a bad starter nonetheless.

Great Camera! Works Well and definitely great for photography and videography. Walmart Shipping box came damaged but the camera box and camera were both fine.
I bought this camera about 2 months ago. I enjoy doing nature photography. It fits a wide variety of lenses with adapter mount. EF, EF-S, and EF-M. Only downside is there is no adapter currently out there for RF lenses (yet).
Mark II offers cleaner HDMI and improved autofocus. It still offers great interface and specs of the Mark I. As a beginner personally I really like it! But cost is a concern I would recommend getting Mark I to get discounts.
I have had this camera for a couple weeks now and I absolutely love it. It came with no issues and was delivered pretty quickly. Definitely recommend the m50 line
The Hot Shoe Mount on top of the camera was missing upon receipt of the camera. It's an irritant as now I will need to get one..... The camera itself is amazing.
Battery life is a bit short. Would like a lens with wider focus range.
