Easy to setup. Easy to operate. 2 sided printing but no 2 sided copying. Good investment
Easy quick setup. Very fast printer - clear crisp color printouts.
I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. The cannon I received was essentially put together without almost any assembly. The box was huge. Packaged well. The one downside I have come across is that it was extremely heavy. Which is to be expected. Some of the images depict having a second person assist with some steps. Such as lifting part of the packaging and obviously setting it where you want it. I was able to do all of this by myself. So it is possible. I was able to get it inside and set up in 30 min or less. And I got it hooked up wirelessly to my laptop. It has step by step instructions which are so easy to follow. It comes with a disc you can use instead of reading directions, I didn't need that or use it. I was able to print some sheets and copy some other items and it's pretty quick and the color images are clear and crisp. I am extremely happy with the quality. I wish it wasn't quite so heavy and large but it really is efficient. I have the space for it so it has a happy home and I certainly do not plan on moving it any time soon.

Setup is not easy. There are numerous settings and the explanation is not clear. Just getting it to scan to email requires in depth knowledge. The quality of the prints is a little light. I have not found the setting to adjust it yet. Setting up printing from Chromebook and Windows is very easy.
Does great at network printing,even from phone. Colors are flat not vibrant but scan image are decently detailed. Biggest Con is the software. It's chaotic mess. Everything should be in an all in one launcher not multiple spots. Big and beefy printer. Potential large learning curve for new people. Wired or wifi setup was easy,I tested both.
I spent two days scanning specs of different products and the Imageclass is the only one that had all features I wanted. Wireless device with duplex print, duplex scanning, OCR all at a decent speed. My only mistake was I purchased the 741 instead of the 743 by mistake. For some reason 743 does duplex scanning and 741 only does single sided. The only thing that kind of bugs is the ADF is jam sensitive. Use small stacks for sure :)
Overall, recommended. For a laser printer, this does a reasonably good job of reproducing photographs or printing color graphics. It has a lot of functions on the menu that are not intuitive, so read your owner's manual. It's the best color printer I have been able to find currently, although it isn't quite as good, or nearly as fast, as an Oki I purchased nearly 20 years ago. Unfortunately, it's getting harder to find supplies for my old Oki, and since Oki has exited the US market, I can't buy new, so this has to do.
I've owned this printer for over 6 months. It is very complex to set up. There are numerous problems with it. Color printing is not consistent. Operator has to pull out & push in the paper tray to prep for printing. The toner cartridges cost more than the printer. Using 3rd party cartridges produces Canon warnings that cancel the warranty & give no ink levels. Setup for printing from a smartphone is hit and miss. It's best if you use USB cables for connecting. Also suggest to have a backup printer when this one doesn't work! Canon shut down all of their customer service during the pandemic! Owner of 4 previous Canons!
