This is our 2nd one and we love it. Works great and fast.
The other one works great but it doesn't feed automatically and doesn't do 2-sided scan. This one is small enough to take with me, feeds the docs automatically, and scans front and back. The speed is reasonably fast, too.
Very handy and accurate. I have bought numerous Canon scanner of this type as a gift and or for office use
Great little scanner that does a lot at an affordable price! Has a feed tray, automatically crops images, can scan double-sided docs, can scan business cards, comes with great software to set up document specific profiles and settings, works with Windows or Mac. Powered by USB cable that connects to the computer.
Love that you can just plug it into any computer without having to download a driver. I have downsized the amount of paperwork in my file cabinet considerably by using this scanner. It was so easy to use, basically just plug it in and start scanning. I also like that no matter what way you scan the document, the scanner rotates it so that the writing is right side up and it automatically deletes the blank pages. The only problem I had was scanning really long receipts. It would stop before the end of the receipt and say there was a jam, but I learned that if I just fold the receipt in half then it will go through and scan both sides so that I get the whole thing in one scan. I have the original P-215 so maybe this issue has already been fixed in the P-215II. The card reader slot is a nice bonus too!
This scanner is fantastic. My only problem with it and why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because when I try to can a long receipt, it stops scanning it towards the end and says it's a paper jam. That's the only thing I would change. Otherwise it scans documents great and they are very legible. They can be scanned in black and white or in color. It's very easy to use and doesn't take up much space.
have to clean scanning glass often to prevent lines on pictures. color much less vibrant than orig pic. would choose differently
KART IT sent me a Canon Mini Desktop Printing Calculator. They are not willing to send the correct item; Walmart offered a refund upon return.
Very disappointed that the product control of Walmart is not good. The scanner was a gift for a non profit organization for autism. They sent me a cannon adding machine.
I currently cant give an honest review because the machine hasnt worked since I received it.
