This Canon calculator has a large green display, making it easy to see numbers. Buttons have sufficient tactile resistance to afford one the opportunity to really bang out numbers in rapid succession, which is what a large calculator is for. The arrangement of function buttons is logical and affords quick memorization, thus large blocks of numbers can be quickly entered. I seldom use the print function, preferring to add numbers twice rather than compare printer tape against original numbers. Further, the printer is a little slow, but still provides crisp black/red print in the times when I do use a print tape. The calculator was shipped sooner than originally estimated, thus a pleasant surprise in this purchase. Finally, this calculator was quite affordable, thus if I wear it out in five years like my last calculator, I'll simply purchase another one. My secretary once said CPA stands for "Can't Possibly Add", this calculator proves her wrong, although I still like the humor.

Locks up repeatedly

As the office manager of a small business I needed a new calculator and Canon always seemed to be a reliable product for me. Not this time. Within about a month the keys would lock up and I'd have to turn it off and back on to get anything to work. Some days it seems to lock up more than want to actually work. I wouldn't recommend this model to anyone. When I'm running long tapes of numbers and it freezes up it wastes a huge amount of my time. I hate to ask the boss for a new one when this is only 6 months old. Such a waste of money. Otherwise I like it's functions and feel.

I am having the same problem as "Payroll" who wrote the first review. Mine is also sticking. I have to turn it off and on in order to make it work. It has gotten really bad in the past few weeks. I use it daily and need it very much. I need a strong calculator with tape capability for my business.

Canon was once my go to calculator, but the quality just isn't their anymore. We use 6 of these calculators at my store and all of the cheap plastic paper tears break. Paper stops feeding in 2 and buttons stick on another. I give them a break with one or two not 6 calculators. These are suppose to heavy duty. No more till they change their design. Maybe not even then.

Bad Purchase

I am a faithful Canon calculator purchaser. I run a payroll company and it is vital that I can trust my equipment. The machines goes to "sleep" in the middle of entering data. The keys stick. Paper feed may or may not work, really depends on it's mood. Canon has lost my loyalty. As I can not afford to have faulty equipment and stay in business.

Waste of Money

I have always used a Canon calculator so when I needed a new one I didn't hesitate to buy this. I wish I had bought something else. The #4 key sticks terribly and when putting in repetitive numbers it quite often gets stuck and puts in more than I intend. I think this will go to junk pile. Not even goodwill because it's worthless.

Poor product

I bought this one about 1 month ago as a replacement for another older Canon. What a difference! Now this is much more cheaply made with smaller keys. For me, it is much harder to get a good feel with it. And it turns itself off in "energy saver mode" so you always have to start by hitting the clear key to wake it up. Not at all efficient! So Sorry I got this.

I have used this same older model of calculator in my business of bookkeeping in the past and have always been very happy but not anymore. Am using it at home (not much use) and it started falling apart quite quickly Stuck keys or inoperable keys. Will Canon stand behind their product?

The worst calculator I have ever purchased

This is the 2nd of the MP25DV that I have purchased. I would not have gotten a 2nd, if there had been anything else. You need to run all your totals at least 2 times, because the machine sticks and then adds the number twice. The subtract key sticks constantly. They are willing to replace it, with the same thing--who would want another one. Save yourself all the frustration and the time, by getting something else.

I have used Canon calculators/adding machines for years. I purchased 2 of these (MP25DV) within a month of each other for 2 different businesses and both of them are terrible. The keys stick CONSTANTLY which causes figures to be ran numerous times and/or single keys such as clear, etc. to be hit numerous times to even clear out an incorrect function that has been entered. I am VERY disappointed with this product! My work is taking me twice as long because I'm having to redo every total I get because of the keys sticking. This poor design is extremely inefficient and very frustrating to say the least.
