TR4522 Wireless All-in-One is very easy to use and completely reliable took me 5 minutes to set up and start printing definitely when you get in a hurry just connect to your same wifi and print in seconds. I was very excited to actually be able to come home and print without calling the hubby and asking how to print. And he is happy too because it really does not take lots of time or room. Also the other thing that is important to me is wiring ; it's less clutter .Even I'm not scared to leave the grand baby playing under my feet without pulling on a bunch of important wires. I recommend this product as long as it can keep up with my work flow even my 7 year old can figure out how to use it thanks again for another amazing product.
Pros This is an all-in-one printer which means, printing, scanning, copying and faxing. It also includes a document feeder on the top for multiple pages at a time. It is also wireless and allows for WiFi printing with Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print and it works with Windows and macOS. Very convenient for quick prints from your phone. Comes with both black and colored ink to get you started. I am currently using it while working from home. I can also see it being used for home schooling. It is definitely a work horse and can handle the demand. Cons It is large so you need room to use it properly. All in all it is a great printer for personal use or a small business and setup is super easy. I would definitely recommend this printer.
First off a note: This is not a printer that you can just hook up and go. It requires a bit of set up and a small amount of tech knowledge, but once you get it going it's a great piece of kit for the price. By far the easiest way to set this thing up is to use the Canon app. You can connect it straight to a network but the whole reason you get a wireless printer is to be able to set it up in any location and using the app makes this easy. Printing quality is quite good, especially with photo printing. the PIXMA line of printers really shines when making prints for 5"x7", but larger prints won't be as nice as ones you get professionally done. Black and white print speed is actually pretty good. I use a small monochrome laser printer for all of my text document printing and it only takes a few seconds longer to spit out a comparable document. The real benefit, at this price point, is the document scanner. Being able to scan a multi-page document all in one go is amazing for this price and a huge time saver if you run a small business and need to constantly scan documents into a system. This feature alone makes this worth the price.
This printer copier etc is impressive! It was a super easy set up and connected to my WiFi quickly. Also the photo printing app you can get on your phone so you can print from your phone to the printer is amazing and free! The color and clarity that comes out in the photo and regular prints is beautiful. I love that it has a features for regular sized photo prints and you can get that size little photo paper to place inside the printer. I have printed so much with this already. It's perfect for school and office but the quality exceeds a regular printer by far. I'm very happy with this and use it a lot. It prints quick as well.
For the price and the quality, you can't beat the value of this printer. In addition to the basic printer functions such as copying and scanning, this printer is set up for wireless connectivity. I like the look, feel and functionality of this printer. The set up was easier than any I have ever set up. It's well packaged and easy to use. The instructions were clear. I got it for occasional printing, so I can't say how well this will do for people that need a lot done. I print a few pages a week. I was completely in love until it actually started printed. The feed rollers are SO LOUD. Like, only print during legal loud obnoxious noise hours. It seems to just be the feed rollers and I am hoping it's just the "brand new" thing and it will work itself out. That's why it gets 4 stars and not 5. They've got a great product here, now just tweak the rollers and make it a 5 star!
My last printer was also a Canon and it lasted me for 10 years so I know it's a good brand. This one is a little more complicated to set up than I am used to. I connected it with a USB and it would have been helpful if they had included one for people who don't want to connect it to their modem but you'll need your own because they don't give you one. It took a couple of tries to install it from the disc. The first time it froze up and I'm not sure why the instructions tell you to insert paper into the printer before you even install it. Once it was set up I used it right away to print a tax form that I needed and some tickets for a Halloween event. I'm sure we'll get a lot of use out of it. I have not tried the scanner yet.
I received the Canon PIXMA All in One printer for review and while there are things that are great about it, I'm not sure I'd recommend it to others. It was easy to set up. I connected it using the wired method with the cd. I don't use wifi for my printer. Directions were easy to follow and I was printing in no time. This printer prints nice clean pages (both sides if you prefer) and prints them pretty quick. Pictures turn out great. I also tried out fabric photo paper and was really pleased with that. I never use the scan function in daily life but it worked fine when I tried that too. Now here's my issue with it...the ink doesn't last. I did not print enough to run out of colored ink and still have an almost full black cartridge left. Most of what I did print was black and white. So when I looked up the ink to buy I was disappointed that 2 cartridges are close to the same price as the printer itself. Might as well buy a new printer every time I need ink. Makes no sense to me.
I am no stranger to setting up a printer. I've been setting up printers for both my home and business every couple of years for the last 20 years and I have never had such a confusing and frustrating experience as I did with this Canon printer. The setup steps are more complex than any inket printer I've setup before, the instructions were confusing, I had to go online to Canon's website for guidance to get everything setup right and I never even made it setting up the fax. The screen is incredibly hard to read as it has no backlight, I have to use a flashlight every time. Many of the symbols on the buttons aren't what I'd expect them to be so more than once I've had to blindly press buttons until I get what I need. I do like that it only has 2 ink cartridges but in typical inkjet fashion, they don't last long at all. The print quality is average for an inkjet which is fine for my needs since I don't print pictures. What is annoying is that the print heads get misaligned easily (as in when my son accidentally bumped the furniture where the print was sitting) this requires a tedious and time consuming alignment process that wastes a lot of precious ink. Scanning quality is decent and the document feeder is convenient. Most frustrating of all is that this printer doesn't go to sleep and instead turns itself off completely after a couple of hours. This means that every time I go to use it I get an error and have to turn it on. There may be a setting to change this but I am so frustrated by this printer in general but the Canon support site frustrates me so much it doesn't feel worth the hassle. Overall, I really don't like this printer and will only use it when I need color printing, otherwise I use my laser printer pretty much exclusively.
