First, I will say I am a hairdressser for 38yrs. That should show some credentials for my review. Secondly, I will say, it is my understanding this product is mostly for African American hair. I am not African American. I have some naturally curly hair. I can spray this product on my hair after towel drying it, to it set the curl, after it dries, it doesn't leave my hair crispy, feeling like straw and sandpaper. I am gray under this color, and it is easy for products to make colored gray hair feel like straw. This product is very conditioning, yet, it does the job and has control over your hair. Also, I will say the humidity doesn't break its control either. I even use it as hair spray. When I do flat iron my hair, which isn't often, it does great then as well. My only complaint is that it isn't sold in all walmarts, i'm out and can't find it!!! I'm going through withdrawals.
I am African American and my hair has been natural for a year and a half so i have tried A LOT of products. I love other Cantu products but this one is the worse. It makes your hair feel dry, brittle and stiff.
