It was difficult finding a bathtub assistance device that will work on a fiberglass tub, especially on that is wider than most. This worked perfectly. It is very sturdy. One tip is to clean the area in front and back on the tub where you want to install the device with rubbing alcohol. That way there is no cleaning residue that will cause slippage.
This was so easy to clamp onto tub & provides sturdy secure support for standing up after relaxing bubble bath. Not bulky & shower curtain drapes over it nicely.
A very helpful aid to get in and out of the bathtub. Easy to install. Makes me feel quite secure.
10 Stars. Received this the next day. Easy to install and the grab bar fits very snug against my fiberglass tub. I replaced an 8-year-old Medline which rusted out like my late father's '57 Chevy. As with my previous unit I added hockey tape to the top of the unit (see picture). The painted bar along the curve is very slippery and smooth especially with wet hands. The tape provides a better grip in in the right place. I also added Vaseline to the screws and nuts just as a precaution against rust. Hopefully I can get many years of service with this.
Perfect handrail for getting in and out of the tub. It is very sturdy and attaches tightly and securely. I'm glad I spent the extra to get this better handrail because it's well worth it.
Whether you've had a leg operation, shoulder operation, or back operation, this is the best item you can have in your bathroom. Strong and sturdy, doesn't take up too much room, it is a great help in getting in and out of your bathtub or shower. We used it all the time, even after recuperation. It's a permanent fixture in our bathroom.
I have to hold on while I get in and out if the bathtub, due to convalescing knee. This is professional grade.
The Carex tub rail is easy to install and remove. It is very sturdy and all I need to get in and out of the tub /shower after my hip replacement surgery. It was a great buy.
I am moving into a house that has a tub/shower instead of a shower stall as I have been used to for more than 25 years and I ordered two of these so I would have something to hold onto with both hands when getting in or out of the tub. I think the extra one I ordered will be well worth the little extra it cost for the security it will give me in having something to hold on with each hand.
I purchased the Carex White Bathtub Rail for my mother, who is 91. I was able to place the rail on the side of the tub and secure it without any trouble. It comes in handy for anyone who may need help stepping in and out of the tub. it was also recommended by an occupational therapist.
