This worked perfectly for my husband, I like the large opening and it was very easy to install. It is solid and stable once it is on the toilet. I would recommend this to anyone needing a raised toilet seat.
I had been using a round raised seat on a handicapped toilet for awhile, but lately, had started to fall off and onto the floor (painful, to say the least) so when I saw this one, I jumped on it, regardless of the cost. Afterall, this raised seat actually has a weight limit assigned to it of 500 pounds. Now I can bend over while on this seat and be secured in knowing I'm not going to end up on the floor.
I am a larger woman. One of the reasons I bought this was the weight limit was more than some.of the others. So it is perfect for my backside.
This seat meets all of our expectations and does everything the advertisement said. We are very pleased with this product and would recommend it to others.
There was nothing about it to dislike. Most important is that it works for our needs. I highly recommend.
this seat is just high enough to give an edge, the size is great, the opening give nice room to wipe good. holds on to toilet great an the folks who use it are about 300 pounds.
wider opening, sturdy seat for heavier people, better friendlier contouring, secures in place as opposed to floating target. the one slight problem might be that it's only 4.25 inches high as opposed to a normal "5" inch height. you loose 3/4 of an inch. A bit pricey but worth it I think
Added sufficient height as advertised and served purchase purpose for me, along with add'l purchase of safety rails. I am still reviewing the sterile element to report on that later. I suppose I will need to be plenty diligent as I doubt the material used for this support is as easy to clear germs as original ceramic (???) commode material. Good so far.
The seat doesn't tighten down onto the toilet base as well as it could. I would have manufactured it with metal screws or more effective plastic ones. It needs to be redigned in the screw holds, because handicapped people exert a lot more strees and pressure onto the seat when they are trying to get up. It has pooped off when my spouse was geting to a standing position.
does not stay attached to toilet.is smaller than expected does help with height.would not recommend till some design changes are made.needs better locking device ans needs more effective seat design.
