The looks compared to 3 sets I have gone through this year sold at neighbor hood market at only $2.00 more. Anxious to try them out. No doubt they will last much longer and slide better. Made of a great looking material.
After using tennis balls on my mother-in-law's walker, I bought some gliders. I purchased the Carex Walker Ski Glides online. They were less expensive than the prior gliders and were very easy to install. Although it has only been a few weeks, I think they are working very well.
I shopped around online and by phone and this was by far the best bargain found. They are very easy to install and they glide beautifully. I bought a pair and a spare. They were ready for pickup within an hour. Very satisfied customer!!!
Good quality. You could buy these same glides from a medical equipment store but you will pay three times as much.
My first pair lasted 3 years, as you can see one edge is worn down more than the other. This was warn done on concrete and pavement, this is a great product if you will be using a walker for a long time, the original pads only lasted 2 months. I recommend this product for everyone that uses a walker, I think this is so much better than tennis balls.
I really like this brand. They work wonderful for me and so far they are the longest lasting that I have purchased. Walmart has the best price. I will continue to buy them.
My older sister who's used walkers for many years recommended these to me because they stay connected so well and I've only been using them on my new walker since I got them attached yesterday, but they glide over my home carpets, rugs in my kitchen and my entry hallway rugs so much easier and smoothly I'm enjoying them already.
Gave my husband more confidence using his walker making for smooth transitions over flooring and carpeting in & out of the home.
These were for my dad's walker. He had a par prior to this one, and they wore out on the bottom where the screws were. I bought a different kind without the screws, and he didn't like them. He had me order these from WALMART since they didn't carry them in the store. He likes them and will continue to use this kind.
The glides are good for going over holes that are bigger than the usual 1 1/8" measurement of a regular walker leg that would sometimes get caught in or go down into a hole of that size. The definitely helpful for that. The only problem with them is that they can turn around on you if they get caught on something or if you fold the walker up. That is not that much of a problem though. Being safe going over holes and the ease at which they slide over things outweigh that downside.
