This product is just what I needed. I was getting this product from home healthcare . Then they eventually stopped coming. I had to find it from someplace else. There it was. This is a good product and it holds up well.
Good for medical reasons but not for what I was using it for
....so that makes them less thick. I prefer the 8-fold and ordered the wrong ones. Will re-order the correct ones. But the quality is great - no complaints.
Eh. They're just ok. Extremely thin and the weave is very wide but I suppose one gets what they pay for...the price and quantity allows me to layer them creating more absorbency and cushioning.
For what I was using this for it was not bad, just a tad thin, and when pulling packing out of wound due to loose weave cause a bit more roughness. But for the price all and all, was not disappointed. I purchased it twice, and if have a wound that needs packed, would purchase again.
i purchased these about 5 months ago [ 4- 2014] they were very basic gauze pads for cleaning wounds. relatively low cost but very loosely woven and VERY thin with almost no absorbency unless you use multiple sponges-- thus reducing value/cost savings. they were adequate. due to the original low cost [$3.00 for-[800 sponges]= 4 packs!], i decided to reorder now [9-2014] and found they were price increased and now a much higher cost [$3.47 per 200 sponges] so i chose to not buy them again. i assumed they would be the same thin/low quality but for a much higher price-- so looking elsewhere. the 2 x 2 pads [ $4.00 for 800 sponges [4 pkgs]] are the same THIN quality-- see through and very loosely woven-- but without lint. takes 4-6 0f these to be comparable to a better brand.
says 4 x 4 barely three by three, and no very thick, I will not buy this again ! Rosamari
This product must be shipped to you and you have no option to pick up in the store like other items. Shipping costs twice as much as the product. When you open it you will see that is has very few threads per sponge and a very open weave. This means that you have to use many more sponges per wound for any absorption or padding. Therefore, this is not a very good value. I would not recommend this product and will not be ordering it again.
Very poor quality, needed to use 4 to 5 pieces to get the equivalent of 1 piece. The gauze is an extremely loose woven fabric, which SHOULD HAVE BEEN DESCRIBED as such in the description. I thought I was ordering a non-sterile version like the sterile type that wraps each gauze pad individually. It wasn't even a close comparison, and I feel like I was cheated. The description should have been more clear. I ordered what should have lasted me quite along time, and been appropriate to bandage a slow healing wound. But it wasn't even close to a fabric--it was more like thin threads with gigantic holes in between. I've been sewing and weaving for over 55 years and know my fabrics
I have no idea why this should ever be sold as a useful sponge, covering. protector, gauze.no way to prove 200 ...they are like a 4" fluff of nothing. If you want to buy this box of fibers to try to discover a use for it.....this is it ! Toilet paper is cheaper and useful in many ways. Can't use this for a wipe, let alone a sponge. When I like a product, I let people know. When I don't like one.....well. you'll be able to tell.....l think ? Never understood why companies want to give an intended "zero" by "reviewer"... They must give a 20% like this one. Well, I don't have enough ink in my typer to get what needs to be said about stupid managers. LEM
