This thing works great.. my car will get many more washings now... so much better than by hand/sponge. Dispensing soap through the wand is an added bonus. Saves the back, lots less bending. Reaches the whole top of the car. Extends out for the top of my 4 wheel drive truck.
I recently bought this item from a physical store since there were some negative ratings. My device performed well, though I have only washed two cars with the assembly. When I first connected the hose there was a leak or two but after tightening the fittings, there were no leaks. The water flow through the brush head was sufficient for rinsing and the brush bristles are soft and appear to not leave marks or scratches. I am VERY pleased with this purchase. I downrated my review from 5 to 4 stars only because I've not used it long enough to know how it will hold up.
It works perfectly in every way except the female threaded coupler that screws on to the end of the hose is designed with a wall thickness that's too thin. So, what happens is the tighter you try to make it the bigger the coupler stretches, never getting tight enough to make it seal. I fixed that by putting a hose clamp around the end of the coupler and inserting an extra rubber washer into the coupler. Now it works fine but Walmart should've never put that on the shelf without some kind of test. Then they could've told the manufacturer to beef-up the coupler.
The concept is great but it is absolutely worthless the quality control is non existant. I have purchased 3 of them hoping that I could get one good 1 and every single 1 has Leaked around the knob and the body of the soap dispenser and the knob will pop out of the holder within 15 minutes of using it and it's forever junk I'm taking it back never buy-in 1 again don't waste your money
Whatever you do, do not buy this piece of junk. As others have said, the coupler will not seat and allows the brush to constantly leak. To add insult to injury, I used it all of about 4 minutes and the coupler pulled completely out of the handle. I had already tossed my receipt, so I am stuck with a very expensive scrub brush until I get fed up and toss it on the trash.
Picked this up to wash my girlfriend's suv as a surprise. The surprise was on me when i got home and discovered the hose attaching nut was so lose that when i tried to tighten it so the hose wouldn't leak water everywhere, it still leaks. The weight of the water hose can pull the end right out of the fancy washing brush leaving you soakng wet and extremely angry. Do yourself a favor and find something else to waste your money on.
Similar to other reviews, my brush will not securely attach to hose. When attached it leaks a little, but eventually hose pops right out of coupler. Made way to cheaply. Had problem right away. Hooked it up and hose popped off as I walked over to the car to use it the first time. DO NOT BUY
I purchased this to wash the ceiling of my covered deck. Worked....okay (have only used it once on the porch ceiling). Tried to wash my truck with it yesterday. Had to replace the rubber washer that came with the unit because of leakage where unit connected to hose. Flow-thru soap dispenser emptied in no time. Filled the dispenser and tried again. Gone again. Dropped it on the driveway and the plastic on/off switch broke. Pretty much useless. As one of the other reviewers said, great concept, poor product.
A flow through brush you can't connect to a hose. Other than that seemed ok. I owned it for about 90 minutes. Walmart was good about refunding my money, but save your time and buy something else. The coupling for the hose appears to be designed too large to secure it to the hose securely. Once the water was applied, the hose popped cockeyed and started leaking. Don't waste your time if you want to attach a hose.
This would be great.....if it worked! I should have listened to all the other reviews. It leaks like crazy, so you end up getting more wet than the car. Cheap material. I felt that if I tightened it any harder I would break it. I guess great to use when it's hot outside.
