This is a really neat toy and the price was too good to pass up, especially since you got a car with it. My two year old has a little trouble with it, but as it is mainly for storing his cars, at this time, it doesn't matter. My only concern is that Tow Mater does not fit in there very well, you have to bend his tow cable, but all of my sons other cars fit fine!
Great for my little guy's cars. He also likes to use the inside of the lid as a small race track, and enjoys watching the cars come out as he spins the wheel. (Usually they come out in bunches, not one at a time, but it doesn't bother him). Best of all, it's very easy for him to use (He's almost 3).
I love this product. My four year old has three of them, and we could use about two more. He has nearly every cars car they make. The only thing I would recommend for them to do is offer a variety of cars with it. Sno Rod comes with it, so now we have four Sno Rods. If your little one loves cars this is a great product.
My 2 grandchildren love this product. The only problem is that it is also a car launcher and if you do not make sure the launcher is locked when you store the cars, all the cars will fall out of the wheel.
Our 2.5 yr old son loves this case for his "Movie Cars", with many compartments to hold most of his Disney die cast cars. He especially likes the turn and launch feature, although it should be called "turn-and-all-the-cars-drop-out-of-it-bumping-into-eachother", since with one turn, all the cars in the outer level of the case will rush out, sometimes causing a major traffic jam. A great thing is that the feature can be locked inoperable by a simple slide switch, at least until the toddler figures out how to release it. Unfortunately not all characters fit in this case, for instance our all time favorite Mater is too big for any of the slots, and others like Lizzy and Guido are too small and jam the turn & launch operation. For storing most of the character cars of this series, this is a very nice and decorative case, easy to carry for a toddler and sturdy enough to withstand most of their abuse.
Our 3 year old who is a huge Cars fan shows no interest in this case. We will probably use it to transport cars to friends/grandparents though it does not accomodate the larger cars like King, Ramone, Mater, etc. Gravity pulls all the cars out of the shoot at once so they don't fly out like shown on the packing material. When using the center extra storage slots, the knob is difficult for little hands to turn. I now know why the product was reduced in price.
My son just turned 4 and received this as part of his set of presents. A few of the die cast cars- DJ and Wingo- have trouble fitting in there, even in the middle sections that are bigger. There's also not a very good stop between each car's section, so when you spin the middle for the cars to shoot out, it's very loose, so instead of shooting out one at a time, they come out very fast because there's just not a hard enough stop between each car. The other, and probably biggest, problem is that he managed to seperate the two pieces of the wheel at the hinges, and, while he didn't break the hinges, the plastic simply will not hold it back together- even though I snap it back in place. So now the two pieces absolutely will not stay together, which makes it a pain for him to not only play with, but for it to serve it's purpose and hold the cars in. But for it's small issues, it's a good product- perhaps would be better for an older child who is not so rough with his toys.
had to wait 3 weeks for it to be delivered then it broke in less than a week! If i had paid full price for it i would had been sooooo upset but @ $8.00 what else could i expect? i give it 2 out of 5 stars.
This thing holds cars on their side although not all of them because of their shapes. It does not shoot the cars out like the description says. It's not great but I guess it was cheap. My son son is 2 and for now I just use it as decoration in his room. The one good thing we got out of it was Snot Rod.
I bought this for my son's 3rd birthday to house some of the many Disney Cars he owns. However, the lever inside the case which keeps the cars from coming out broke within a day (and my son has hardly played with it. While the appearance of the case is nice, it fact that it broke almost instaneously (and is unable to be repaired) makes it very disappointing.
