I absolutely love the Funky Frogs bulletin board set and so do my students. We have it in our classroom and we are using it as a countdown. "___ days 'til we hop to 1st grade!"
I just love this FUNky Frog bulletin board set. It gets me in the mood for spring! The set includes one large frog, a log header, 5 cattails, 4 dragonflies, 2 lilypads, and 33 small frogs that come in 4 different colors and 5 different poses. It lends itself to be used in many ways. I used part of the set in a showcase. I added strips of cardstock to the back of them so they could stand on their own. As people walk by, I hear "How cute" and "Spring is right around the corner". These frogs brighten up any room! One drawback is the lack of lilypads and dragonflies. I really think they add to the set and could have used them in the showcase. When I am done with the showcase, I will use the log as a game board for a greater than/less than game. The frogs will have numbers written on them and the students will place 2 frogs on the log and compare them.
I loved these frogs the minute I saw them! They are very cute and colorful. There are so many uses for this BBD set. It could be used as a BBD on the wall but also could be used for games or stations. It has enough accents that the possiblitlies are really endless. It is certainly a great way to LEAP into spring...or to let my firsties know that it is just about time for them to LEAP into Second Grade!
I teach a middle school special needs class, so I needed a bulletin board set that was eye-catching, but not too “kiddish”. I FUNky Frog bulletin board was just what I was looking for. The graphics are bright and “cute”, but can also be used for a mid-level class board. I students also love frogs, so they were super excited about the new display. I also try to make learning interactive and fun in my classroom, so we used the frogs to create a fraction review came for my students as they wait in the hallway between class changes. The bright color display also lends itself to spring time or even a unit of study on pond life. The possibilities are endless. This is a great, durable board set that I can use for many years to come with my students. The set comes with a variety of small frogs, bugs, pond plants and a big frog.
My first impression of The FUNky Frogs bulletin board set was that it would make a fun and whimsical display in my classroom. This set is very versatile; it could be used with any grade level and in a variety of ways. The FUNky Frogs have so much personality that they reminded me of my kindergarten students, so I decided to use set to display my Kinder's Frog*tastic Work! My students love the FUNky Frogs and they have a fun place to hang work that they are proud of!
This was a fantastic set and had TONS of frogs to use. This allowed me to use it for a bulletin board and make a matching center game at the same time. Since I laminated the pieces after cutting them out I should have it for many years to come!
The Funky Frogs Bulletin Board Set really brightened up the bulletin board in the hallway after a long dreary winter. The colorful frogs made everyone think about Spring. The set is very versatile and its uses are endless. I used the frogs to review basic addition and subtraction facts for my kindergarteners. As the students arrived to school, yhey immdeiately noticed the new bulletin board. They started reading the problems and solving them. The frogs provided another fun way for the students to review math facts without using drill and flashcards. The bulletin board set contains 33 small frogs, one large frog, a frog sitting on a log header, cattails, and dragonflies. There is also a website to access additional resources.
Since my whole classroom is engulfed in frogs I could not resist these little fellows. The colors are bright and the characterization of the frogs is fun without being goofy! All of my bulletin boards were set for the month when I got this set but I was determined to find a use for them so they went on display out in the hall. A colleague shared with the faculty how a school they had recently visited carried each classroom theme out into the hall to display the children's work, so that is what I decided to do with my new bulletin board set. Each child has their own frog with their name on it coordinated with a laminated sheet of construction paper with a clothespin at the top to hold the work of child's choice of which they are proud. The children were very excited about putting their work up in the hall. They of course have had work displayed in the hall before but this is special because even though it is part of a large display it individualizes each student's work. So, go get your own Funky Frogs and get hopping with some fun displays. Speaking of creating bulletin boards Carson Dellosa has a great Sweepstakes right now where you can win a “Golden Ticket” for $500. All you have to do is visit a teacher store and purchase one of their new bulletin board sets Calypso, Lemon Lime, or Teal Appeal and hope yours has the “Golden Ticket”.

This product was a breath of fresh air to my first grade room! I used the frogs at the very top for my student's names. Then I put my title on to show the word study concept I was working on. Then I added more words on frogs to the bottom of the board to further reinforce the short vowel followed by one consonant or two and adding ing or ed. I have used the board as a teaching tool both in word study and writer's workshop. This board surely melts away the snow in northwestern, PA. I find my little ones drawing frogs at recess to match the frogs on this adoreable/teachable board.
