Well packed and arrived before the projected date. The grandchildren each said "no lessons for me" when they saw it. Now they have each asked their mom to arrange some lessons because they don't know how to play. They will know the basics in a few weeks of after school tutoring.
This is a great product for the price. My son loves it. He is learning and tinkering on it. Fits in his room and no one is bothered by it because he uses the headphones.
Bought it for my 16 year old son. He opened it up and withing minutes was making some horrible noise. A week later he actually can play a tune. Keyboard really sounds like a piano.
Great product, my daughter enjoys the ease of operation
We purchased this piano for my 7 year old son. He is starting piano lessons and we didn't want to invest a lot of $ initially. We chose this piano because it has good reviews and our piano teacher recommended getting a keyboard with weighted keys. It also has a lot of "extras" that are fun and make it more appealing (stand, headphones etc). He had his first lesson this week and it went great! We are very pleased with this purchase.
The keyboard is heavy enough to not move around however the stand and the headphones are extremely poor quality. My advice is to purchase the keyboard but do not go for the bundle.
we haven't had time to check out the many options, but so far, we love our keyboard it won't replace our piano, but be an extra keyboard to allow our whole family practice time, and the person playing the keyboard can use the headphones----and so far, we don't miss the 17 keys
I am taking piano lessons as a new retiree -- and this works perfectly.
Not impressed with sound quality or volume level . Majority of voice selections, including piano, are rather dull with touch selection enabled, particularly starting an octave above middle C. No major improvement using available tone adjustments or sustain peddle. Volume is only acceptable if you disable touch sensitivity, or enable a voice such as organ sounds, etc. Overall fine, but if you are looking for a piano sound and would like to play more than the middle two octaves, I would not recommend this unit. Purchased due to good rating, but will be returning and seeking a better quality and normal volume system.
Decent sound, however; No technical support from Casio: It is possible to submit a question at web site, but there was no response - not sure if questions are received and/or responded. No software, no USB cable provided, recommended cable did not work. Poor manual: Manual does not cover music/file recording, and/or file transfer tasks fully. It was not possible to connect to computer with information provided (only few sentences). I tested several methods, software products, cables, etc. based on few references on web site, but no results. This product should be sold under "toys" category. Product and company approach are not professional, and behind times - feels like a product & company from 1980's. Could be still be enjoyed by kids who do not need to connect to computers. Sound is decent through built-in speakers. Audio out does not perform well as you lose sound quality especially at low notes.
