Good quality construction. Decent sounding speakers. For the 5 yr old great gran.
this is a great little keyboard. I teach online piano lessons and if I am not home, it sounds decent enough and looks professional enough to use as a temporary replacement for my 88 key Yamaha. The keys are 'mini' keys and of course they keys are not weighted to sound like an actual piano, but the sound is not the annoying little keyboard sound either. For the price, this is your best bet. I also like that it can be used with batteries.
The keyboard is perfect for me. My hands are small and it is much easier for me than regular size keys. It is like and portable and still has strong and mellow sounds when hooked up to a small speaker I use. So the actual keyboard is very nice. However the power supply requires additional expense. The ac/dc adapter is not supplied and must be purchased separately. The 6 AA batteries must be alkaline batteries and not rechargeable batteries. Not sure of the reason but there is a strict warning in the documentation. So I have ordered the adapter and am purchasing a small portable power station since I will be using this where there is no power supply. So for me to be up and running the overall expense is somewhere around $120. But I have other uses for the power station so it is all working out nicely.
Nice quality device. Good for kids to get a taste of playing the piano but also great novelty item for adults as well.
very happy with this keyboard because I play with only one finger to learn the melody of a new song. I wish they would have told me where middle C was. I had to play the songs in the sent song book to find middle C. glad we ordered the AC jack so we don't have to use batteries.
I think it's the best piano ever it's very portable I could take it any were.
Despite the statement on this web page that "AC adapter included", it's not. Thank goodness I have a good stock of "AA" rechargeable batteries... Overall, this is a good little keyboard. This model (with 32 keys) is not sold by many retailers here in the US. Its larger brother, the SA-76, with 44 keys, is much more common, selling for about $10 more most places. Just don't expect an AC adapter to be included. And don't get caught without batteries Christmas morning!
It is a small keyboard that uses 6aa batteries making it expensive to play unless you buy the adapter which is very expensive.
CASIO... TOP OF THE LINE... not. BATTERIES AND POWER CORD SOLD SEPARATELY. GREAT WAY TO DISAPPOINT A 5 YEAR OLD ON CHRISTMAS MORNING smh
Alas, we returned it. We bought it to supplement our piano practice. The keys are to small to make it useful for that purpose. It may be quite nice as an introductory piece for a child. Also it has the ability to be plugged in. However the cord to do so was not in the box, only directions as to which model of cord you might use. Hmmm!
