excellent product. seems to be built with knowledge and craftsmanship. it is a great scope for the price and works great.
Very nice Scope. Great for watching Animals in the country. Scope was really up to date and easy to use and a great price.
the product i bought is really great
This telescope is worth more than its price. It is great for bird watching in the day time and great for the night stars. It is easy to assemble. This is our first telescope, we did not want to over buy and then have the telescope sit in the corner collecting dust. We find it to be a great first investment; If the children use it a lot we may invest in one that costs a little more. Over all not bad for the money and gets the family away from the tv and electronics.
Bought this for my husband. He loves it very easy to pack up and travel with. We planned to take it in August to see the esclisp
Bought as a gift for my sister. Hope she likes it!
I ordered this scope to use as a Guide Scope for Autoguiding long exposure Astrophotography. I have this mounted on top of a William Optics FLT-132 APO Refractor Telescope in a set of 100mm ADM guidescope rings. The OTA, after removing the finder mounting base screws, and the dovetail mount and screws, weighs in at less than 1.5 pounds. This is a great light weight guide scope. As for the Visual use, I did put the 45Deg Diagonal in with the supplied eyepieces and the views were OK for a scope of the price range. The items includes with the package are decent quality, you really get what you pay for when it comes to a telescope. This would make any young budding astronomer a bit frustrated if used for night time viewing of the heavens. As for the daytime use it does very well and can be used as a spotting scope or for some in close bird watching. Not going to perform like a good Nikon scope but you will not have to pay 10X the price either. This would make a good first scope for any kid. The entire scope is made of plastic from the Diagonal all the way up front to the objective cell, all plastic. This is not a bad thing and is why it is so light, it is resistant to bumps that would usually leave a dent or a scratch in a metal scope tube. The only metal used on this scope is the draw tube and this is a nice upgrade from the plastic draw tubes that flex and will not focus the same twice. There is a little focus shift when racking the focuser in and out but that is expected in a scope of this caliber, not a big problem but some shift is there. The Tripod is ok for this scope since it is so light, there is some movement during focusing but it stops very shortly after releasing the focus knob. The back pack is made of a nylon material and is roomy enought to carry all your eyepieces and diagonal without fear of banging against the scope or tripod since they have a pocket of their own to ride in. The backpack bag holds all of the items needed to do some remote observing like the Tripod, Optical Tube Assembly (with finder removed) and all the eyepieces, diagonal and finder stored safely zipped up insidI ordered this scope to use as a Guide Scope for Autoguiding long exposure Astrophotography. Good value for the little Dollars out of pocket. I got mine to use as a guide scope so I sold the eyepieces, diagonal and the tripod seperately on Astromart and ended up getting the scope for free.
If you are looking for a great gift to give to anyone who enjoys the stars, This is the perfect gift to give! Lightweight, easy to for travel, and easy to setup. Makes a great starter scope.
I'm already returned it....sty away - very poor quality in total: optics is junk and tripod is not for any use....
The lenses are good for this telescope, but everthing else...the plastic housing and especially the tripod are very cheap and flimsy. Trying to moderately tighten one aligning screw on the finder scope resulted in stripping the thread, so now it can't be truly aligned at all. I really wish I had not spent the money for this.
