I used to have mild breakouts around the bottom of my face, and I went through multiple products trying to find something that would help. I started buying Cetaphil a few years ago, and I've noticed that I rarely ever have any sort of breakouts anymore. One bottle lasts me quite a long time, as I only have to use about one pump a day to wash my face. If you're hesitant to purchase because of the somewhat steeper price point than other face washes, it's definitely worth the money.
The mild skin cleanser is the only skin care product I've used that actually helps my face get rid of pimples. extremely soft on my face. The quality is excellent. The dimensions are appropriate. It also fits people of various ages, thus age is irrelevant. Flavor less—that is, absolutely no smell—is excellent. Similar to the package, it is reusable. It is ideal for sensitive skin and offers additional advantages for your face. after a week of use, the results are spectacular, especially when moisturizer is also used.
I recently bought the mini version to test it out and WOW. My skin has improved by millions and the texture is soft and creamy. It usually get the minis because of the price, but I'm willing to invest in the bigger size. The packaging is sleek and the ingredients are great!
For years, this cleanser has been my go-to, and it's never let me down! I love how gentle it is on my sensitive skin, and the fact that it's fragrance-free with thoughtful ingredients makes me feel good about using it. Plus, the different bottle sizes mean I can grab the perfect one for my budget or when I'm on the go. It's like a reliable friend in my skincare routine!
I love this skin cleanser! I don't think I'll ever be using anything different for my face. I've used a lot of skin cleansers, ranging from over-the-counter products like Clean and Clear or Neutrogena to Pro Active. I've gone to the dermatologist in the past who prescribed different topical medications but they just enraged my skin, leaving my skin inflamed, painful, and extremely dry. As an adolescent, the most common areas that I would get acne would be on my cheeks by my hair line. I tried changing my diet, keeping my hair off of my face, not touching my face, using medications, using Pro Active, using toner, not using face moisturizer, oil pulling method, tea tree oil, witch hazel, electric facial cleansing brush... nothing helped. As an adult, I've continued to have acne and I guess the hormone fluctuations between pregnancy, delivery, and breastfeeding seemed to make it worse. I have dry skin and I was washing my face twice daily with harsh over-the-counter facial cleansers. About a year ago, I decided to see a dermatologist again (my first time as an adult). She basically told me it was hormonal and that there was nothing that could be done unless I wanted to try taking medication. At the time, I was breastfeeding and trying to become pregnant again so taking medication wasn't an option (or even desired). She did recommend using a gentle skin cleanser twice a day and a facial moisturizer if needed that won't clog pores. Shortly after seeing the dermatologist (about a year ago) I began using only Cetaphil skin cleanser on my face twice daily. At first I was skeptical because I was so used to the thick harsh cleansers (that are also intended for oily skin, by the way). This cleanser felt so gentle, like thick water, that I felt like maybe it wasn't going to clean my face. After using, my skin was actually kind of soft and felt like it still had some moisture too. I will occasionally use a face moisturizer but I've had better luck not using any moisturizer at all. Since beginning to use the skin cleanser, my complexion has gotten so much better despite a second pregnancy, delivery, and breastfeeding. I rarely have acne now and am so thankful. In addition, my husband has painful eczema on his hands and he has started to use this on his hands at home and he has noticed an improvement as well. it's no scent and it's leave your skin very soft and clean and it does not dry out my skin. The gentle foaming formula cleanses my skin without stripping away its natural moisture, leaving it feeling clean, refreshed, and balanced. If you are looking for a simple, clean, scent free body cleanser, this one is for you. This product seems geared towards individuals with sensitive skin. Personally, I didn't truly love this product. The lather is not that great and it feels like I have to put on a lot. However, it is still a product I use because it doesn't cause any breakouts on my body and it's scent free. Sometimes I like scent free when I am using a body lotion that is scented, if not it feels like I'm mixing two scents together. I haven't seen any negative reactions to this cleanser which is why I give it 4 stars.
I brought cetaphil gentle cleanser in April 2024, according to print expiry date is 02/27 but now it's has started smelling fowl, very bad experience, they just lost their reputation. I brought 1L quantity and 3/4th is still left! I don't know what to do!
This new formula Cetaphil gentle cleanser is burning my face. My face is red, burning and feel a little bit dry after use. Old formula Cetaphil gentle cleanser is really the best for me. The old formula is feel moisturize, soft and clean. It improve my skin barrier. But this one is not like that. I feel so sad. It's burn and appear small ance. Please produce as old formula. 😭😭😭
My son is approaching his teenage years. As an esthetician, I was trying to establish a basic skin care routine for him. Unfortunately, immediately after using this cleanser his face broke out into red raised hives. His eyes were super red. I gave him Benadryl, applied a cold compress and made sure we removed everything off of his face. The attached photo is after we did what we could to calm things down. He gets the occasional breakout, but generally his face is clear and smooth in texture. Needless to say, it was very scary. I am disappointed in this product and definitely will not be using it again.
