After several uses, the drive train started skipping and now both the blade gear and the drive gear are stripped. No replacement parts. Very disappointed
Got this as a gift a couple of years ago, used it twice to slice boneless ham and it worked great. Then put it away for about two years. Got it out again recently and sliced some roast beef, then another boneless ham, half way through slicing the blade alignment pin (small plastic part) broke in half and allowed the blade to drop away from the drive gear. Went on line looking for replacement part but there aren't any. Bought one for a different model which looks like it would work but the retainer screw thread design is different, so I will buy the matching retaining screw, of course then the blade cover won't reattach because that model is not made to have one. Not sure if that's going to work, but hate to toss an expensive appliance, if I have a chance of getting it working again. Bottom line if you're going to design something so flimsy you ought to supply replacement parts. Considering I only sliced three and a half roasts, I think it should have come with a dozen of them.
This slicer was a gift 3 years ago. I have used it maybe 4 or 5 times. Now the blade is overtightening and screeching. Upon investigation, the 11/2” main shaft is not flush with the white centre core of the circular blade, and there's no fixing this. Tried fashioning a “washer “ from a plastic container lid, to make the blade flush, and after about 10 slices, we're squealing again! To the garbage it goes!!!
I have used my electric slicer probably 10 times. I don't know if I'm pushing too hard but the plastic hard plastic on the blade broke and wore down very quickly
