I literally bought this straightener in TWO THOUSAND SEVEN. I stopped buying crappy ones and invested in one and holy moly has it paid off. It works GREAT, no issues. When the sad, sad day comes that this one dies, I will certainly be purchasing another.
Smells awful & the smell transfers to your hair. Styled at 360 for my fine hair, curls that fell out IN MY HOME within minutes. Clearly Chi is no longer the leader in this industry. Pay more, get more
I have tried to use Chi straighteners for a few years now. My first Chi lasted just over 1 year. Unfortunately, the quality seems to have continued to go downhill fast. My last flat iron "crapped out" just outside of the 1st year hence no warranty. I decided to purchase another, hoping it was just a fluke and perhaps it was an issue only with this particular one. Well, I purchased my current hair iron less than a year and a half ago and it has AGAIN stopped working. The light comes on intermittently, but it does not heat at all. This product is no longer under warranty, and I just got off the phone with "customer service". They do not seem to care about their poor quality products or their customers. I will most DEFINETLY not purchase a new hair iron from Chi again! Buyer beware.
