Wow! What a great steamer! I have a large at home garment steamer that I love, I use it every day and this one is a great replacement, travel size steamer. It's ready to steam in under a minute, small enough for just about any suitcase and will give you wrinkle free clothes in a matter of minutes! Comes with a great travel bag for easy storage and the cord is plenty long enough for steaming anything needing unwrinkled.
I am not a fan of ironing at all. However, the CHI Handheld Garment Steamer is so easy, versatile, and heats up ready to use within 30-45 seconds. It is very fast at getting wrinkles out of clothes and curtains. This is a great choice for anyone looking for an all-in-one steam styling solution. I love how lightweight it is!
It is perfect for a portable steamer. Great for business trips. Chi has always been a top tier brand. It heats pretty quickly. Its very user friendly. Nice long cord, so there is not struggle going along the garmet. Also, has carrying bag. I do wish it had a case instead of bag to keep it safe during traveling. Overall, it's a great product!
I was gifted this hand held steamer. It’s faster to just iron but it really comes in handy for my curtains when they are hung up and I don’t want to take them down to iron. I added water to the fill line and plugged it in. It took a few seconds to warm up. Steam comes out fast. I love this because it’s great for travel. Continuous steam for 5 minutes. This comes with a travel bag. I am definitely impressed .
I was so surprised by how easy this is to use! I'm used to ironing which is super easy to make new creases and wrinkles or wet spots, and this works just as well for de-wrinkling any of my work pants or shirts. It's super fast and actually very convenient!
I’m so glad I got this steamer. It’s so sleek and compact which makes it great for travel. I have to travel a lot for work and an old steamer I had was small but it was still bulky, but the Chi steamer doesn’t take up nearly any space at all in my carry on bag. It’s close to the size of some flatirons. It heats up pretty quickly but remember it is small so it takes some time to get your clothes steamed. I steamed a lightweight sweater and it took about 5 minutes. I should have done it longer but I was pressed for time. Overall I’m loving how small and convenient it is for travel.
I hate dragging out the iron and ironing board to do my families clothes. This is perfect and best of all it’s portable so I can take it when ever I travel. It heats up extremely quick and I am able to steam my clothes easily while it’s still on the hanger. Works for almost any material type and haven’t had a single issue. Would highly recommend this!
Run now and do yourself a favor and buy one of these! Best handheld steamer I've ever used! It's so simple to fill with water, doesn't leak, heats so fast, and knocks out wrinkles in no time! I have had wrinkled shirts in the closet for literally months because I was afraid to iron them. Steamed them in like 10 minutes. Wish I would have had this years ago. 10/10 recommend!
I am very pleased with this so far. There are pros and cons to the steam button--I like that I can lay the tool down and no steam comes out, but if you have a lot of steaming to do, then it's a little annoying to have to keep the pressure needed on the button so the steam comes out. Not super accessible for people with grip issues, but it's not bad. It has a surprisingly long cord, several feet long, with a velcro piece to secure it. It also would have been nice if they had put the cord coming from the side at the bottom and given it a wider or weighted base, because you can't sit it down upright. You have to lay it down on its side. It actually does heat up in 30 seconds. It vibrates and sounds like it's struggling to suck up water the entire time it's on, and when it's out of water the vibration pattern changes. It didn't have any trouble putting out steam, it just sounds like it's struggling. I love the metal piece around the steam jets because some wrinkles in cotton can use that extra heat. I held the steamer pretty close to the fabric, rubbing it in some places, and got great results with cotton and a 40/60 poly/cotton blend. I was able to fill the reservoir and get about 8 minutes of steam. That was enough to do a large cotton t-shirt and half of an extra large poly/cotton dress shirt. I set my steaming station up in the bathroom so I was close to the sink (just an adjustable curtain rod hung between the walls in the hallway outside the bathroom), but you could fill a condiment bottle with water to bring to wherever your clothes are hanging and that would be perfect to refill it. The max fill line is very visible inside the water compartment, but the red plastic makes it hard to tell how much is inside. Including a small container that holds the amount that actually fits in there would have been such a better move by CHI, because it's annoying to have to guess whether you've put enough in or not and then overfill and have to guess how much to dump out, and repeat. The bag is handy to have for storage. I love the tips they included in the instruction manual, DO read them. You have to let steamed items sit for 10 minutes before storing, because they are a little damp once you finish. That's the kind of very helpful tips there are.
I was really excited to receive this steamer but once I started using it I was quickly disappointed. The steamer itself is beautifully designed and easy to hold. I also love how it comes with a dust cover for travel. It takes 35 seconds to heat up once plugged in. I’m not sure if my fabric was just too heavy or had too many wrinkles but I could not get the wrinkles out. I did not want to get too close to the fabric or hold the steamer in one place for too long. If you have a very light weight item this may work for you, I was just not impressed.
