This product serves its purpose wonderfully. I used the store to site and it worked out well, took about a week. The gate comes in a very compact package and with everything you need. Simple installation and works well at keeping my toddler from climbing up the stairs.
I'm so glad they make these Expansion Gates. I didn't use the white middle piece though n it still works. My little 10mth old can't climb the stairs now! This gate works for me cuz I don't have a level bottom stairs. I did buy the adapter piece cuz i have a railing that won't let u drill anything to it. The adapter works great too. I'm VERY happy with this gate. The only thing I'll have to think about is I can't pull the gate out when done with kids. I will have to unscrew it. I screwed far over to my closet door so it won't take up room on the stairs when not in use!
It was easy to set up. Very strong, and lite weight. Had no problems with assemble. Just what I was looking for. Keeps little childern and pets restrained.One of the best products I brought from walmart.
I had to get this gate to keep my dogs out of where the carpet is after letting them in from the snow and/or mud. I have wood trim at the floor where the gate attaches. They give you spacers so the top bracket extends out even with the floor trim so you can mout the top bracket even with the floor to keep the gate staight. I ordered this online to deliver at home. I tracked the shipping and it was actually delivered the day they send it should go out. Great and fast shipping. It was that much either.
Our door frame is not square for some reason so the regular baby gates wouldn't fit properly. Since this one is screwed to the door frame it works exactly the way it should! The locking mechanism is a little annoying but it got the job done, so I won't complain much! :)
This gate had easy set up, but to open it or close it you have to make sure all 3 points are locked in place. (main lock, bottom hook and center rest)
I installed this outside at the top of our deck stairs to keep our dogs on the deck when we can't watch them closely. Easy to install, looks nice, and was inexpensive.
This gate is cheap! It does the job I wanted it to. I have a 48" doorway that needed to be closed off. I was able to mount this gate on one side of the doorway so I can swing it flush against the wall when I don't need it (this keeps kids from trying to swing on it, which it would not stand up to) I have to watch my older son(7) when he opens and closes the gate to make sure no fingers get pinched. The main thing i don't like at all about this gate is that you have to drill screws into the floor in the middle of the doorway. I thought about painting it to match the foor as it is bright white, but decided against it because that would increase stubbed toes and such. The longer it extends the flimsier it gets, one good ramming and that would be the end of it. I would not recommend this to a dog owner.
The only problem I had was I didn't know the gate had to be permanently screwed into the doorjamb. The smaller ones I already own are adjustable and can be moved from doorway to doorway as needed. Other than that, it is a sturdy product and serves it's purpose.
Most of the super-wide gates we found were barely too small for our space, and three times the price of this gate. This fits our space and didn't break the bank. A little stiff to open and close, and I wouldn't want my son to try to pull up to standing with it. Overall it's pretty good.
