This conversion kit has been out of stock for several months, I was thinking of trying to make this part when I found it in stock. So glad it is here. I recommend when buying a convertible crib, look for conversion kit first before purchasing.
We were so excited to get the conversion kit for the crib. :) I was very happy to see that it was cheaper to get it through Walmart than to go to the Carter's website and order it straight from there. It was very easy to put together.... They included three bolts to use to attach the side rail to the new lower rail (no clue what they're really called), and two little wooden pieces. You have to use a couple of the bolts from the old crib rail to attach the new lower rail, I don't think that the instructions are 100% clear on that part, but maybe I just didn't read it right. All in all, it took me a whopping 15 minutes, if that, and a lot of that was because I needed to clean the crib out first. I'm VERY satisfied with this product. We are at one full week of having it and have had no problems with it. :)
Super easy to install. It said it was a 2 person job but I had no trouble doing it by myself (even with a very curious toddler and puppy checking on my progress throughout). My daughter loves her "big girl" bed and I love that she's still got a bit of a rail there to keep my very mobile sleeper safe at night. It's a perfect match to her crib in color and design too. My only complaint would be that it wasn't included with the crib initially.
I purchased this for my two year olds crib the color matched perfectly , the directions nice and clear, very easy to assemble i did it without any help .(Which is huge for me ;)) lol I would deff buy this again she loves her "big girl bed" <3
I actually purchased the conversion kits for our brown Woodhaven cribs. That conversion kit was not available when I was looking to turn our twins cribs into toddler beds. The sizes were the exact same and the browns match perfectly. I honestly was tired of waiting for the brown Woodhaven conversion kit to become available again (I'd been checking for MONTHS.). The toddler rails are a little less sturdy than I was expecting. Overall, they serve the purpose.
This kit is pricey at $45. It installs just in minutes. Comes with all bolts and key. One person can do it without problem. First, assemble the bar and fence panel on the kit, couple of hex bolts. Then need to take off existing fence panel on the already built crib, 4 hex bolts. Then push 2 wooden connect plugs to the bar and connect it to the crib. Last step, push and tighten hex bolts to both ends. Done. Looks good.
Exactly what we were looking for. Just wish it was a little longer because my son keeps sliding out the end of the bed that is not enclosed.
This should've come with the crib. Aside from that it was a easy installation and recommend getting this for anybody with a toddler.
Looks great. Just wish it came with the crib when we purchased it two years ago for our grandson. It isn't available in store.
I felt this little half rail was very overpriced. My advice would be to just get a whole new bed (your going to need one eventually anyway)and universal rails, which you can get 1 for each side for cheaper then this one.also this rail only attaches to one side of the crib (there are no holes for the other side)
