I absolutely adore this knob covers I've added them to every door in the house makes it much harder for the baby to open the door I have purchased more for family members and their children as well price is fair for that item quality is very good some of them you have to really make sure you snap in the place other than that I love this item
I have seen these doorknob covers in my friends' homes and knew I wanted to try some. They are FANTASTIC for keeping my young child corralled to a certain part of the house. I have them on the main doors to prevent her leaving the house. I have one on her bedroom door to keep her from leaving her room during naptime. This is a great safety / security feature for any home with a toddler. My child is almost 4 and can't figure out how to open a door with this product. So it's not definitely childproof! I will say that they fit much better on the newer, larger, big stainless steel knobs in the house. Our smaller knobs from 10 years ago don't fit these covers well. The cover rattles around too much and it's hard for even an adult to open the door. Overall I would definitely recommend.
These Jool knobs are designed to fit over regular door knobs to prevent toddlers from opening doors. Do they work? Absolutely! It's even a little difficult for an adult to turn the knob, but well worth the extra effort knowing that inquisitive little ones can't escape when your back is turned. The knobs pull apart (a little tight, but not too difficult). Then you apply the two pieces to the door knob and snap them together over the door knob. And best of all, it takes just minutes to attach these knobs. The knobs come in a package of four. Although they are made of a rather thin plastic, they should hold up for the amount of time that they are needed (until the little ones are old enough to figure out how they work).
I needed something like this for my front door! My three year old knows how to unlock and open the door, so this was just in time. They are two plastic halves that you snap together around the door knob. My son has no idea how to open the door with it on there..Hooray!! Lol..they are easy to snap around the door knob, and to open the door you reach through the holes and just turn the doorknob..Simply!
I received this item for free in exchange for a review through the Walmart spark reviewer program. We were pleasantly surprised that our two, almost three year old was unable to outsmart this device as she's very savvy with things like safety latches and even electronics like tablets and phones. We used this on our front and back door of the house to ensure that she doesn't wonder outside in the morning as she sleeps downstairs and we are upstairs. Once in a while we don't gear her get up in the morning and it's always a fear that she'll unlock the door to outside. Now, we have a little more essurance that she's safe from that happening. she hasn't been able to figure it out even when playing with it in the living room or when she wants to go outside and play or see someone who arrived at the house. I like that it's convenient to move to other doors if needed and that we can still lock and unlock and also use the door that it is on without problem. It was also a blessing when we started putting her down for naps in her own bed. It made the transition easier. Overall, we recommend this item and would likely get another in the future if we end up having any more kids later on. It's one less worry when we have it.
These are just what I needed for my grandson who is starting to walk. They are perfect to add to the doors of the rooms that have things that could harm him. I have already added one to the bathroom where all the cleaning supplies are kept and another to the half bath where I keep all medications as well as the door leading to the stairs which could result in a fall. Don't want my precious boy to get hurt. The door knob covers are made of high quality plastic, the design has two holes on the sides to make it easy for an adult to open. They come in two pieces and adding them to the door knobs is so simple, you just snap them together and you are done. Just as easily removed by squeezing the sides together and they pop open but no worries about a child doing that, it takes more strength than a child has to open them :) A wonderful tool to help keep your children safe. I recommend this product to all who have small children.
These childproof door knob covers DEFINITELY work!!! They come in 2 parts and you snap the two pieces together over a door knob. They measure 6 x 3 x 1 in. I put them on and I couldn't even get them off. I had to have my teenage granddaughter get it off. Lol. So I am sure a child couldn't pull them apart. I used to have a kind that spread apart and you just popped them on, but the kids were smart and could just yank them off. These would definitely prevent that from happening. The old kind I had also had a rubber grip on the holes which made it easier to turn. But I suppose it also made it easier for the kids to turn. This one has a hole on each side and you have to grip the door knob to be able to turn it and get out. It's even a little harder for me this way. I kind of like having the rubber piece. But again, I suppose it's harder to deter little Houdini's from escaping without the rubber pieces in the holes. They seem to fit on a variety of knobs (as I tried them at my daughter's house too and hers are different from mine). Having them in 2 pieces is nice so if one side gets bad you can use a piece from another one and you don't have to throw the whole thing away. I would recommend these Jool Baby Child Safety Covers because they are even “grandma proof”. LOL. So round up a set of Jool Doorknob Covers. Then round up your little escape artist and prevent your Houdini from escaping the room.
I'm giving four stars because I found these difficult to snap together. I had to give it a couple tries. However, they do exactly what they're designed to do. Our toddler has just begun trying to open doors, especially the front door. The Jool doorknob covers definitely prevent her from opening any doors in our home, where she isn't allowed to go. They free spin on our doorknobs, which prevents her from even getting a grip on the knob itself. I have pretty small hands, so I find it's difficult for me to get a good grip myself, but it doesn't prevent me from opening the doors, I just have to get a good grip on the knob. They come four doorknob covers to a pack, installation was fairly easy. We've had them on our doors for about a week now and our toddler hasn't gotten a door open yet. Due to the free spinning, she likes to spin them around. Completely functional and entertaining to our tot, these doorknob covers are exactly what you need to keep your tot out of personal spaces, and prevent opening of doors leading to the exterior of your home. Our oldest daughter loves these, cause baby sister isn't barging in to her room anymore and jumping on her bed, or grabbing all her things anymore. They work!
Great invention! My child is almost tall enough to reach the knobs now. Installation wasn't too much of a struggle. I would suggest before putting this on the door to practice putting it together and unsnapping so you get a feel for it. Once on the door I was able to still use the door as normal unlike my kids. I did have a little trouble taking it off the knob. FOLLOW THE ARROWS. They help.
I received this item for free in exchange for an honest review. With an 18 month old who seems to be into everything, these door knob covers seemed like a must have for our house. While they DID fit our knobs, because of our knobs' shape, they did not function as they are supposed to. Our door knobs are decorative and oval (see photos). They snapped on fine, but weren't loose to be used properly. Bummer. They were very easy to install, and I would recommend them if you have standard round knobs. Not sure how long they would hold up since the plastic is pretty thin and cheap. I also think smart little toddlers could easily figure out how these operate!
