I ordered this online not knowing what it would feel like when it was played and I have to say I was impressed. It is made with a hard plastic and the design is beautiful. I bought it for my 4 1/2 yr old who just loves it and my 2 year old is always trying to play with it too. I might have to buy another one. The value for the money paid is well worth it. It has real strings and it can be tuned just like a guitar but it is more like a Ukulele and so it does not have the same sound as a guitar would. It doesn't seem to bother my daughter though. I gave it 4 stars because it only has 4 strings and not the usual 6.
