I am 86 years old and I've been taking this for years and have no osteopenia or osteoporosis. Bones of a Young individual.
I had a bone density test and I didn't like the medicine my doctor prescribed so I bought these. I like that I can take 2 in the morning and be good for the day. I also like that they are slow release and easy to swallow.
This product is good for someone who takes meds once a day.this way you get your dosage of Calcium everyday with the convenience of taking t only one time. I would forget to take my second dose of Calcium and this product is my cure all for that. The price is the lowest I could find
instead of spending hundreds of dollars for tons of supplements a month I break this in half and give it to my exotic animals or a fourth for the smaller ones incredible results quick healing animals stronger bones
Citracal Slow Release Calcium Supplement is made by Bayer, which is a brand that I trust. This product contains 1200 mg. of Calcium and 25 Mcg. (1000 IU) of Vitamin D3 - my doctor advised me that it was time for a product like this. Easy to take, 2 tablets with a full glass of water in the morning.
This is the one for me; I take care of two things in this one product, my vitamin D and my calcium. This one absorbs with or without food and it has not caused me any stomach upset. The added heart protection is another plus. I would highly recommend this product.
I cannot order great value multigrain bread…says I have to come in for it! What is that about? I put an order in for delivery 11:00 - 12:00. I added four more things “to the cart”, but it made it a separate order with a $6.99 fee, when it said it would be added to the cart.
The status is still delay. When can I get it???
The company absolutely needs to put "actual size" of these pills on the labeling somewhere....would have never bought them knowing this information. For anyone who has trouble swallowing pills be warned these pills are fairly large. Personally I do not normally have the issue above, however upon taking one out I was surprised by the size and wasn't even going to attempt to get it down....not once a day but twice according to the directions. Pill measures just over 3/4" long to just under 1/2" wide and is more squared off than oval...see pictures. I have taken larger vitamins in the past, but I am certain these pills are the largest I have ever purchased that need to be swallowed.
I used to use the petite Citrical but decided to try these slow release ones. I have been having severe stomach cramps for days and the only change in my medicine regimen are these pills. I will probably have to go back to the petite calcium citrate instead of this citrate and carbonate blend. I tried to get a refund but Walmart was wanting me to return an opened,used bottle to the store and I no longer have the box. Oh well, live and learn.
