I have extremely oily skin. I have dealt with it all my life and struggled because I could never find anything to wash my face AND soak up all the oils. It may not work all day long but does any product really stay on all day long? This cleanser makes my face so clean and smooth and not oily, which is something very important to me. Without the oil absorbing cleanser I dont know what Id do!!!
I bought this product about a week ago and before I started using it I checked out some of the reviews. At first I was very skeptical based on all of the negative reviews but I decided to use it anyway. Thank goodness I tried this product out!!! I have extremely...EXTREMELY oily skin. I would have to blot my face at least twice an hour. But this has been the only product that has actually helped combat my oily skin. After washing my face, my face feels so soft and smooth and noticeably clear. I don't really get acne maybe just a blemish here and there but the one pimple I had immediately cleared up within one day of use. My face stays oil free for almost half the day. I am so glad that I found this product. Absolutely love it!
Other C&C products I've tried have either been too strong or have really irritated my face (cough cough, Morning Burst) but this does wonders for my sensitive skin. It's only .5% salicylic acid instead of 2% so it isn't as strong I guess, which is probably why so many people are complaining. I've been using this product for about 2 months and my skin has never been clearer, so thanks! PS I've noticed this product really dries out my hands after I apply it in the shower, but nothing that a little lotion can't fix.
Ive been using it for a week now. Its worked okey so far. It does take the oilyness away and doesnt over dry my skin. I havent seen that great of an improvement with the acne. After using this i use the clean and clear advantage moisturizer. With this my skin does stay oil free all day and i dont worry about over drying. Still the best oil control ive found so far....still searching to get rid of the bumps tho....
I've been using this product twice a day for a couple weeks now, and what I have to say is it's cleared up my skin A-LOT. I use to have tons of breakouts all over my face, it's cleared up all of them, I think it's even helped fade some of my acne scars. I mean I still get a pimple hear and there but it's good compared to how my face use to look. By the way I have very sensitive skin, with a mixture of dry and oily skin. This product drys out your skin a bit but just moisturize after, I recommend Aveeno. It smoothens your skin without leaving your face oily or clogging your pores. I totally recommend this product for someone who has lots of pimples and breakouts, it gets some blackheads but not deep ones.
I felt this kept my skin w/ a matte finish for only a few hours and then I was back to blotting away. I felt that my oilyness even got worse as I used the product, I ended up giving have the cleanser away. Sorry clean and clear, I just wasn't impressed.
I used this for about a month and at first it seemed to work somewhat decently, then a few weeks later, I started breaking out again. I stopped using it and started washing my face with just water but when that didn't work I decided to try this again. It gave me a huge zit right by my nose and it hurts very badly. To add on to this product, it seems to make my face more oily.
I tried this product for almost two weeks and I wish I had quite immediately. I have not had a major breakout in years but I have had problems with oily skin. This product seemed to dry out my oily sink for a few days, but then my face began creating even more oil in the process and I also ended up with a terrible breakout, like puss sacks because so many of my pores got clogged together. If there was a zero star option I would choose it. I have been using clean and clear products for years (including the old cleanser and toner) and this is the first big disappointment I have had. I quit using the cleanser almost two and a half weeks ago and my face still hasn't recovered from the bad breakout (though it did start getting better a few days after I stopped using the product) and my skin is more oily than ever. I think it needed more testing before it was put on the market.
I was really excited for this product, because I get oily in my t zone and have problematic skin. On the first day, it seemed like it did a great job however, I could feel the product on my skin after many washes and by the afternoon my ENTIRE face was slick with oil. I woke up the next morning with a TON of new deep breakouts and my skin more oily before the product. I was really hoping that this product would help with the oiliness and the breakouts but unfortunately, it trashed my skin. I am rather upset, because I loved the morning burst facial scrub. This product is a complete disappointment,
I was really excited to try this product since I have oily skin, however it turned my skin into a complete nightmare! I had been on antibiotics for acne for 4 months and my skin was finally blemish free and not developing any acne. Once I started using this product, my skin broke out a lot, and the longer I used it my pimples would get deeper and more painful. To make matters worse, my face would be SLICK with oil too not long after use. It may absorb oil initially but since it takes so much natural oil from your face, your skin works overtime to create more and it's absolutely disgusting. Save your money and find something else. This product is terrible.
