This new formula really make this product different. With the added pro-vitamin B5 and other natural ingredients it help your skin feel amazingly fresh later. It's fragrance-free as well which i think it's a plus , the price is decent for a drugstore made cleanser!
This product is great for oily skin types. Great quality. Washes away dirt oil and make up with out drying you up. Good scent. Great price. And the bottle it great.
It's so gentle on my skin, and I've seen such improvements in the past 2 weeks of using it. It lathers well and rinses off easily and smells great, and my face felt clean, washed. The other formula was too drying. I have very sensitive skin.
I've used Clean and Clear Morning Burst for 20 years and loved it. Bought your "new formula" and was alarmed when within 2 days my skin was suddenly dried to the point of being painful with red, almost burn-like patches. Thankfully had a bit of the old formula left and my skin is returning to normal. This "new formula" also was almost impossible to get out of the bottle and had a terrible smell. I will NOT be using this product ever again and by the other 224 negative reviews I'm not alone. I have no clue if you bothered to test this acid-like concoction before releasing it on an unsuspecting public but you certainly have lost some loyal customers.
Like everyone on here, used this stuff forever and now it is gone the way of woke--woke ingredients means no more sodium laurel sulfate (if it is so bad why does the great La Roche Posay use it in some of their best sensitive and oily skin cleansers), and we must have Vitamin B--a known irritant and face reddener and Exyhexylglycerin which is why everyone is turning red, itching and breaking out--so we will have to go to one of Clean and Clear's competitors to get a new cleanser. How stupid to change formulas in order to follow industry trends--the old Sensitive skin formula was an elegant, perfect formula, like no other in the industry. Why become a copy cat and imitate poorly what others do better. You do you Clean and Clear; wake up and see what you had that was all yours. If you want a woker cleanser, offer it in addition to what you do best--why blank it out of existence. Do you know how many people in droves will come back to you and buy this stuff if the original comes back on the market. I'd buy cases of it.
I've been using morning burst for years, I bought the new look / new formula & my whole face has been itchy & my face looks chapped with it in certain areas which is around my nose, my top lip and cheeks! I've stopped using it I also hate that it doesn't have a pump! Bring the old formula back. Honestly I'm glad it's not tested on animals because it would irritate them too!!
What a disappointment. The OLD formula was fantastic. I recommended it to friends and family. The NEW formula is terrible. I wish I could add "thumbs up" to the many other comments about the new formula. Mine is going down the drain. I will use bar soap from now on. Why did you ruin it?
This new formula is going down the drain. Breakouts, slicky, unclean, unclear skin as a result. I used the old formula for years. Why would Clean and Clear want to wash down the drain a loyal customer base just to build a completely new one? That's what they are going to have to do to get a public to try this stuff and then keep buying it. That will take years. Good luck with that one--this new formula was made for a only few who can tolerate the torture. The old formula worked for a lot of people. There are reddit threads about how much people loved the old formula. Clean and Clear: Put the old formula in a fancy new bottle, call it whatever you want and charge us whatever you want. Just bring back the great old formula!
LOOK at all the 1 star reviews!! LOL The reviews say it all. The only good reviews are from 5+ years ago before they changed the formula for the worst. The only other good reviews are paid, if you look at the free sample tester attached it says it all. I have never seen a product get such bad reviews. One after the other. Are they blind? All of them are faithful users of 10+ years. they simply don't care. The product is unusable now. Such a disgraceful move by a company. You would think they would want to sell this product... apparently not. I can only imagine the returns to stores happening. R.I.P Essentials foaming cleanser.... you will be missed.
SADLY A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HOW PRODUCT INNOVATION CAN KILL CUSTOMER LOYALTY! I have been looking for the OLD FORMULA product since last 2 months in Canada and couldn't find it anywhere! It was my daily face wash since last 15 years... LOVED it! Seems J&J Killed Their Hero! "PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA TO LIFE! THIS NEW SENSITIVE SKIN FORMULA SUCKS".... Breaks Out, Doesn't Deep Clean, Skin Got Patchy, Thin Film P.S. : I switched to Cera Ve SA Foaming Cleanser instead. Try it.
