I found this at wawa, decided to try it out. I got the chocolate mint. It's really good, like a thin mint. The texture is good, i like it. You have a crunch but also a smooth texture. It's not chalky and it doesn't have a bad after taste. It does have a lot of sugar but that's alright because i drink a lot of water. 10/10!
I've been eating one of these protein bars for breakfast, almost every single day, for around 8 years. I never get sick of the taste, it leaves me feeling full, and it's the best tasting flavor of protein bar I've ever had. It's best with lots of water as it's a dry, dense protein bar, but I consider this a bonus as it encourages me to hydrate in the morning as well.
Great tasting protein bar, 20Gs of protein, 280 calories and tastes good. at 14 calories per gram of protein, this should fit snugly as the median calories in a high protein diet, while still tasting good.
A delicious treat with solid macros! I love the crispy layer and varied texture. The chocolate tastes awesome and they're thicc so you feel satisfied after eating. My bf and I love them!
It is almost impossible to find a dairy free gluten-free nut free protein bar that tastes good. Not only does this one taste good, it's delicious! My son with autism and multiple food allergies is the pickiest eater on the planet - he loves these bars. From this grateful mom to you - THANK YOU CLIF!!
Love this bar and eat one literally daily. I'm having trouble finding it in stores now. It was the first time ordering directly from Cliff, they were in date but looked "weathered".
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Taste is a four but it did have a lot more sugar than I care to have in a product like this that's the only reason I gave it three stars. But overall delicious, filling and does a great job for the purpose it serves.
I've been eating clif builder chocolate mint bars for 5 years now. They were a perfect non dairy protein bar with added vitamins that worked great and tasted even better. Now, they've removed the added vitamins, changed a few ingredients, and completely ruined a phenomenal product. It tastes cheap. I used to recommend these Clif bars to everyone I knew. Sadly, I will no longer associate myself with this product, as it's not the same. Clif needs to reset the reviews and get rid of the 5 star reviews that are about the old product. This is false advertisement.
We've been eating these religiously for a few years now. The chocolate mint was the only protein bar my wife would eat. That was before they changed the recipe. They are absolutely horrible now. Clif Bar, why didn't you just introduce a separate product if you felt the need to jump on the gluten-free bandwagon for the 1% of the population who actually need it and leave the original recipe for the rest of us.
I have ordered these protein bars for several years. Seems like it is a flip of the coin on whether or not they will show up melted. This order, 24 bars, all melted in the wrapper. My only options are to suck it up or re-package all of them to mail back. Really frustrating!
