If your vehicle has a battery that is starting to fail (not a battery that has NO JUICE) then this product is a great tool to get you out of a jam and to the store for the purpose of purchasing a new vehicle battery. For the people that are looking to forgo replacement of their vehicles standard battery, this will not produce the desired results. As for me, I had not driven my jeep for about a month and have additional electronics draining a 5 year old battery, I purchased this device and was able to start the jeep in less than a minute. The new battery is in place now and this is charged and waiting for the next adventure or hopefully just to assist someone else :). Great purchase, I highly recommend it!
The new cobra cpp1200 i purchased online is all as advertised . The package arrived quickly and after the initial charge it has performed . As example, today on my way home at a gas station noticed a motorcycle owner trying to start his bike. He had just walked 2 miles back with a new battery he purchased only to realize the tool he needed to take the full cover off the battery compartment was not there. I offered my help and he accepted gratefully. Out came the cobra , on went the jumper cables, plugged in the unit went through its diagnostics and the green light come on and the owner turned the key, BINGO. after refusing payment, i gave him the info about cobras new unit. Odds are he made it home and is online ordering his own..
I used the CPP12000 to jump start a neighbor's antique 1956 Pontiac Bonneville. The car was stored in their garage for the winter for about 5 or 6 months with its battery connected. When he tried to start the car all he heard was one click from the starter motor and nothing else. The dome light also when dark during the initial starting attempt. We then connected the CPP12000 to the Bonneville's battery terminals. Immediately, the CPP12000's yellow LED lamp started flashing then about 30 seconds later it went green. He then tried to start the car but the engine turned over very slowly about once or twice then stopped. We noticed that the CPP12000 Yellow LED was flashing again so we waited for about a minute and then it turned Green. On the second attempt the engine turned over a little faster and there was a small hint of gas but again after two or three revolutions the engine stopped turning over. Once more the yellow LED on the CPP12000 was flashing so we waited again for the Green LED. After another minute the CPP12000 LED turn green so my neighbor turned the starter to ON and the engine started right up! We think with a cold engine and with all the oil settled in the oil pan plus there was no gas in the carburetor it took a few attempts to get everything flowing. But we were both completely impressed with the CPP12000 jump starting this antique after sitting for so long a time period!!!
Received in good condition brand new used it two days ago to jump a F250 three-quarter ton Ford truck worked well on the first try I do recommend this product I've had one before the original Cobra jumpack was a little bit smaller but this one's size is just a little bit larger and comes with a in a little case which helps keep it all together would recommend one
I love my battery pack. I had one before I used it everyday. Had it for about 6 year then the battery died. But like I said I used mine everyday for cell phone. Just love the product. That why I bought another one.
I have already purchased four of these packs for myself, my kids and grandchild. Had to use it to jump my riding lawnmower a friend's car and a stranger stranded at night in very cold weather at a gas station. She was an older woman alone and my 15 year old grandson helped her by using the JumPack which just took a few seconds, she was so thankful he stopped to help her. The Pack is great and I have one in every car. Told my boss about it and he bought one for his teenage daughter who ended up needing it immediately. Love the product and the colors!!
I purchased the very original Cobra JumPak a few years ago. I do not recall the model number. I've used this to jump a boat and several cars (even when another car wouldn't). I am purchasing this newer model for my daughter to carry in her car. This is the best portable power pack I've witnessed.
I had not had an opportunity to use this device and it sat in my glove compartment. While visiting a friends house, their large jacked up Jeep was dead in the garage trying to charge it with a generator battery for hours I suggested the Cobra in my car. They set it up, waited for the green light and it started up immediately. It was impressive. They ordered one and I ordered again for family members as gifts.
After charging the battery pack i used it on a 2004 Buick which was in an estate i am in charge of. the battery was dead. the Cobra battery pack barely turned the engine twice before getting no response. we put another battery pack on the Buick, a much larger (small brief case size) on the battery. It started the engine on the second try. I am very disappointed in my purchase.
I purchased the Cobra JumpPack as a gift for someone who lived in another state. When she received it, the inside packaging was opened and looked as if it may have been used because the cable plug was out and there were a few scratches. I. Was instructed to email to customer service the problem and got no satisfactory reply.I don’t feel that I should have to pay to send a product back because the package was opened and it wasn’t new. Was never able to reach anyone in customer service.
