I like that it is a full grill. Can fit more on it . It doesn't blow out as easily as the Coleman stove with one burner on the side and because the burner is a singular unit it cooks evenly on both sides. I also purchased the flat grill for this unit. Fits perfect but haven't used it yet. I reccomend you get a small double burner for extra cooking just to keep your meals interesting.
This is a great gas stove/grill combination, been using Coleman products for years camping and this is very useful on camping trips. The product listing is wrong though, it is the same as the one in the stores that says 20,000 btu on the box or else I would have gotten the one in the store. They could not verify it was the same item even though it looked the same because the one online says 10,000 btu. But when I received the item it stated 20,000 btu on the box and was in fact the same identical one as on the store shelf but $20 less.
My go to for camping. It's easily portable, versatile and fuel efficient. Provides even heat distribution and is very easy to clean. Highly recommended.
It's a really nice grill for camping and even at home. Many nice features and a few flaws that are easily overcome with some care. Some of it's best features are: - grills fast and cooks well, burgers are easy to make broiled on the outside and pink inside - even heat distribution throughout whole grill area - heats up quick requiring only a minute to warm up the grill - great flare control, nothing ever drips onto the burner tube - very strong pot burner, boils water quickly, but hard to control at low settings - overall good build, it's sturdy and nicely finished, and light weight And some of its flaws are: - very exposed control knobs can be easily bumped and leave burners open - pot support rack doesn't sit perfectly flat - propane intake is near rear, forcing the propane bottle towards the back instead of side of stove - the grill grate is easily scratched when cleaning with a metal grill brush - pot burner is difficult to set to a low setting, my older grill has super fine control - plastic feet slide too easily on most surfaces Some useful tips: - use aluminum foil to line the bottom of the grill to catch drips - unplug the tank & regulator when not in use to avoid possible leaks - hand wash the grill grate to keep it clean and reduce odors when stored - install stick-on rubber feet instead of the slippery plastic feet The photo shows the grill after using it six times. The foil underneath keeps the bottom clean and plugs the drip hole at the bottom. It's neater to just replace the foil after each use. Works perfect every time!
We love our Coleman camping stove, it's portable, it's convenient to use, easy to set up, very fuel efficient and a breeze to clean. We have even used this when all of our power was out and needed to make coffee and cook breakfast, thank goodness we had it!! I highly recommend buying.
I've camped with tents, vans, pop ups, travel trailers and motorhomes since I've been a youngster. Coleman was really the only brand I knew of when I was that young. As I became old enough to purchase my own stuff Coleman was what I bought. And the Coleman propane stove was one such item. After 30 years it still works great! It has a cover to help block air so cooking so cooking is easier. There is 2 burners which is perfect! I've been able to use the stove in snow and rain too. I know when I buy Coleman products I'm buying quality products. 30 years attests to the quality
It states in the description this: "The Coleman 10,000 BTU PerfectFlow Grill Stove is ideal for camping and fishing trips. You can make coffee, bake beans and vegetables, as well as cook pasta, steak, and burger using this pressure control grill stove. You can also cook eggs and pancakes using the griddle" After reading this description, we ordered this stove, under the assumption that it included a griddle for cooking pancakes and eggs...it DOES NOT INCLUDE A GRIDDLE!....and furthermore, walmart does not even sell the griddle that goes with it! So, needless to say, we were very disappointed, especially after we made the decision to pay extra shipping to have it in time for our recent camping trip. I recommend tht walmart takes this out of the description. As for the grill itself, it works fine...the latch that closes it is poorly made and pops open if you even touch the grill.
Stove was advertised as having instastart ignition, even stated this on the box! but this stove did not have this feature. Also screws were missing to attach the feet. Returned it today
First use and melted Aluminum grate. Instructions/warnings state not to put pots or pans on grilling grate. I thought okay a camping toaster should be fine NOPE. Melted it completely. I recommend not putting anything on the aluminum grate including your food. Based on warnings I don't believe I was in the wrong. Hey Coleman, how about you offer a cast iron or steel replacement part especially since this is a common issue. I would gladly buy it for two reasons 1. Because I melted the aluminum one and 2. To not be cooking my food on aluminum ... health reasons just like trying not to buy food with aluminum in it.
This was for a weekend outdoor getaway and it was useless because I put some potatoes double wrapped with aluminum foil on the grill and the grill grate melted rendering the grill useless.
