I really like this adapter. It hooks up my propane tank to my smaller mobile grill. The grill with the small propane bottles at $2.50 each just run out so fast but now I can use my large grill fillable propane tank and grill as much as I want saving a lot on propane. The hose is good wuality.
This adapter hose solved my problem of running out of propane, with the 1 Lb. green Coleman small tank! Now, I can cook, without changing the small can ever 2nd. or 3rd meal! This hose converts a 20 Lb., regular Bar-B-Q gas grill tank, to fit the small table top gas grills! This is a great idea and works very well. I would give it 5-Stars! Happy Grilling!
I have contemplated one of these for years, but I wasn't sure how/if it would work, was it safe, etc., given that so often I would read instructions with various propane burning products to NOT use such thing. Since this one comes with a regulator to deal with the differences in pressure between the smaller and the bigger tanks, that takes care of it as far as I'm concerned. Nice to not have to worry about running out of gas in the middle of a batch of hamburgers on the grill.
I got a camping stove and some canisters to use in case the electric goes out. During this past winter we lost power for 3 days, so I decided to get this hose to hook my grill up to a tank. This one is great and comes with the adapter and all I have to do is hook it up and start the grill. Now I'm ready for next winter!
Recently purchased table top gas grill that uses the quart size propane canisters, puchased this hose to connect to larger full sized propane tank!!! Works perfectly!!!
Read some reviews before I purchased that said they had difficulty getting it to work. They probably shouldn't breed. The one thread is LH, if you can figure that out you are golden. Works great and no more running out of gas mid grill out!
Although this was listed as usable with the Coleman RoadTrip grill, we found that it didn't supply enough gas flow to the burners. Disappointing not to be able to use our full-size propane bottle. Guess we'll have to keep on using the small bottles. Don't waste your money. We returned it.
I ordered this hose to accompany my new Coleman grill. The grill uses the small fuel cylinders and I wanted to adapt to the 40 lb. tank. Once I got the grill and hose in I put the grill together and went to hook up the tank but then found out the hose also requires an adapter. If I had known I could have ordered the adapter at the same time. Now I have to try to find another piece.
We've been using this Coleman hose and adapter with our 5 gallon propane tank for 6 months. As I disconnected it tonight, a ball bearing from the check valve fell out of the adapter.
Bought two thinking the first was broken. Neither work. Simply trying to run my 2-burner Coleman propane stove off of a larger propane tank instead of the small (expensive) Coleman canisters. I even replaced the 5430 regulator arm and still nothing
